No, *people* need isolation. Headphones don't have to isolate.

+1. Not everyone really needs an isolating headphone.. The only time I need isolation is when I'm mowing the grass.. Or when I don't want a bunch of sound leakage (those usually go together).

Anyone know where I can still get the ATH-M50's for $110? On amazon it was bumped up to 160 so yeah...... Or should I just empty my wallet and get a HD 25-1 II.

but yeah, HD25 if you can, at least that is my opinion. they also go in the FS forums for 140 or 150.

I just received the Creative Aurvana Live today and boy are they uncomfortable.  The inner diameter of the pads is just slightly smaller than my ears.

Unfortunate since those of us with normal-sized ears find them very comfortable

Actually Joker, you must have small ears ... you told me the denon HP700 were circumaural for you (that or I have abnormal-sized ears too)

I think I have normal-sized ears. All of the headphones advertised as 'circumaural' are circumaural for me and all of the ones that aren't... aren't. Except for the Arctic Sound P281 - they must've used a mouse to determine whether those we circumaural or not.

Have you tried eBay? If you search, I'm sure you can find an authorized dealer that takes a "Best Offer". I bought mine from Shoreline Audio(authorized dealer) on eBay for $104 shipped when their list price was around $160.

Hey guys, I was just wondering what a logical upgrade would be to the JVC HA-M750 that I currently own. I absolutely love these headphones for what I paid for them, but I don't like buying the same thing twice. I would probably be looking to pay around $80. Sorry in advance if I'm not allowed to post this here.
