    JVC HA S650-carbon diaphragm?

I just got these a couple of days ago. I'm very impressed by both the sound quality and the design/comfort. The case says that they use carbon fiber for both the speaker housing and the diaphragm. I was curious if this is a similar design to the so called carbon fiber nano-tubes I've been...

Headphones sensitivity, impedance, required V/I/P, amplifier gain

The following table is based on measurements, not manufacturer specs.   Target SPL is 110 dB SPL. The source is assumed to output 2 V. The amp is assumed to be a voltage source (0 ohm output impedance). Voltage, current, power are RMS figures.   What do the columns mean? S@1V is the...

    Highly portable headphones

Hi all.  As this forum is slowly draining my expendable funds, I'm growing curious about highly portable headphones, and when I mean portable, I mean on the level of the KSC75 and PX200-II.  Disregarding IEMs and similar, what might be an upgrade beyond the two listed headphones?  Any...

    Are PX200 II's really closed?

I have the original PX200 that I use at work and no one can hear anything leaking.  I picked up the II's today and did the test asking my wife if she could hear anything coming out.  She could. Is it possible that I could get a proper seal with the originals but not the II's?   Thanks.

    Sennheiser PX 685i

I wrote a review on amazon. Anyway, figured I'd shed some light on these here.    "Baby PX 200 II's.   First off, I was considering only giving these 4 stars, because I am not sure that the sound quality/price ratio justifies 5 stars. However, ultimately, I feel that because of...

My current portable headphone I use is an Audio Technica ATHESW9A which I'm very happy with. Unfortunately, the left channel stopped working and I just sent it in for repairs. I'm sure it will make its way back to me working fine, but I figured this is a good time to look at what else is out...

Which to prefer and why? My old 'Sennheiser PX-200 II' have recently worn out, probably at the connection to the plug :-( I've tried and like both pairs, I'm thinking of getting the AKG but I'm not sure.

Hi,   I have a set of PX200-iis and some Monster Turbine Pro IEMS which have both developed faults.  The PX200-iis have developed a fault in the cable (I think around the inline volume adjuster).  The Monster Turbine Pros have a fault whereby the right speaker cuts down to about half...

Need help... PX 200 II's plug shorted out.

My dear PX 200 II's plug has shorted out. One of the channels is not getting sound, and the other one is cutting out. I know the problem is at the plug, since I've fidgeted with it a bit and noticed changes in the sound when I did. They are just old enough for the warranty to be void, and the...

Searching to buy Sennheiser PX 200-II volume control

As title says. I want to buy, PX 100-II, but miss volume control that 200's, I thought to buy a control, and solder it myself, or try to use Sennheiser lab or something, I don't want to deal with any external control, or AMP, just as much as simple it can be.

So I have an iPod Touch 8GB 2nd generation.
