and the ZX700 seems to be quite a good deal for that price. too bad it doesnt fold

I like the sound of the V6, more bassy and less bright than my HD25, but still, i could easily enjoy it in a long trip. comfortable enough for my big ears and tough enough to carry around.
 
And you were right about the cable .. is like 1 meter straight and 1 meter coiled ... its cumbersome. so much that i consider to replace the cable or just cut it.
 
Overall quite a pleasant surprise for me, didnt expect much fun from a headphones tagged as "studio monitor".

That makes two of us. This is the second sub-$100 monitor I've run into that I'd more readily call 'fun' than 'natural' (first being the Numark PHX).

A sony headphone that I can maybe convince myself into buying, but at least I will have less trouble converting my friends into audiophiles!

I want a more portable one then the sony zx700 it's gonna be a zx100 or zx300 but the zx100 is almost twice the price then the zx300...?! do you think they are good too cause the zx700 are outstanding according to you and i am a sony fan cause bought sennheiser twice and returned them directly not my sound......

I don't think the performance level of the ZX100/ZX300 can be extrapolated from how well the ZX700 performs. There is absolutely nothing shared between the headphones except for the name so there's no way to know how the ZX100/ZX300 will compete in their respective price brackets without trying them.

My spreadsheets are a little more complex and a lot more messy than the table you see there. I could post the word .doc that I use to keep everything straight but then you would only have sorting but not weighting options. If you just want the numbers to transfer to excel yourself I could do that with the next update.

I hope this site's legit. There are 144 ratings though. The ZX700 sells for $87 there and the ZX500 sells for $45. Maybe Adorama or B&H would price match?

You know there's a ZX500 right? It probably won't be as good as the ZX700, but hopefully sounds similar.

I do but its messy and includes a dozen headphones not yet added to the thread. I have a recent table in .mht format, though. The attach button doesn't work so I just uploaded it to mediafire. MS Word will open that file and allow for sorting, etc, or the data could be copy/pasted into excel.

I saw the site but didn't think much of it since nothing is in stock. Good prices though.
