Ah, the bass boost on that is totally useless.
The iCan has a decent bass boost though.

Thanks Hawaiibadboy. Found a pretty snug case today for my new cans:
Khanka brand, $6 on Amazon.

That's the one; I bought it after a long session of measuring and digging through specs. The SZ cups are too wide for most semi-rigid cases; I took a chance on this one as it was very close and only $6. Here it is with the lid just resting closed:
There's no room to spare, but as long as the cable is routed away from the widest part of the cans the case zips shut easily.
I don't think they'll fit my Sennheisers, but I'll check my T1s for size too.
Which Senns do you have? The SZ's (which I have two of) are the only headphones I have that knock into each other if I put them on opposite ends of my headphone stand. So i'm gonna grab one of these cases if they fit the SZ.
Just got the sz1000. I want to maximize bass.
What pads?
What amp? Do I need DAC? (Listening from MacBook mostly spotify)
What equalizer (and does it work for Spotify/music apps on laptop)?
Thanks

Pads from JVC 55x or 77x (same ones) and for amp maybe iDSD micro or iCAN. Not sure about spotify EQ?
I second the iDSD micro, all in one solution.
for eqing spotify, there is equalify for pc and spoteq for ios (iphone). iDSD can hook up to your iphone too.
Thanks for the responses guys. I was about to get the Fiio e12, what are the advantages to the idsd?
Edit: just saw the price. I want something in the 100-150 range
