Battle Of The Flagships (58 Headphones Compared)

Exactly what I'm looking at. I have heard the PS1000 and for the price we have here ($2000) I'm not all too interested. However what I am interested in is the Alessandro MS Pro and using the distancers plus G cush mod. For me the RS2 and SR60i were too peaky in the treble for me.

The first pair of MS-Pro's I had were modded with distancers and gs1000 pads by myself. I liked them but later ended up selling them. I did miss them immensely, so bought another pair. This time around I am keeping them stock. I really like them stock :).

IMO there is too much hurry to dismiss Grado on this thread.
I think the fact that there are many more choices in headphones these days diminishes our view
of the Grado community but they are still there.

Grado's PS500 was arguably as successful a product as any other new recent headphone release.
Many of the people I know into Grados wouldn't give them up for anything.

Just my 2 cents.

I agree with perhapss, people still make reference to ''the Grado sound'' but in my opinion, the PS500, the GS1000i, and the PS1000, have a very different sound signature than the SR and RS series.

Having heard both, I've found that they're is much less difference between the LCD2 and the twice as expensive LCD3, that they're is between the PS500 and the RS1i wich are a couple of hundred dollars apart.

Recently tested Audeze 2 against RS1. Grado was more spacious but Audeze was the more quality enjoyable sound and more comfortable, despite extra weight.

Not sure about Audeze, but I do find my Grado SR60i to sound more spacious than some others... And that includes my Annie's xD

Not sure if others have requested this, but care to add the new LCD-X into the list and see how it fares against the top 10 headphones in the list?

That wood! What type of wood are those actually? [pardon my ignorance!]

That's American black cherry wood. The headphones are Japan made :)
Oh and they are beautiful.xD
