Do it! You won't regret it

I've been wanting to try the large Diaphragm iem, the Cardas design says it mirrors the ears cochlea or as they call it the "Ear Mirror". The Titan is actually 13mm as opposed to Cardas' 11.5. My only worry is getting a good fit since that housing is not going to allow the tip to go in very deep

I've never felt like I got the seal like the other IEMs maybe because of the low isolation. Its almost like wearing open cans but on your ear canals.

Well correct me if I'm wrong but looking at them they have holes in the inner casing above the tips which I'm assuming also allows sound to come through into the ear cavity?

I'm not sure how much of that sound from those holes get into the ear canals. I think they're just lots of vents for sound tuning and perhaps allow improved driver dynamics like an open can. When I wear them, the tips are completely sealing the ear canal and I'm using double flanges. But its a bit weird because when I'm in some situations like the foyer of my lift at work, I hear a faint wooshing sound similar to the effect you get hold a seashell near you ears but much less intense.

Cool, when I saw the size of the housing I was already thinking a large pair of double flange:wink: Can't be any different than having a pair of large body Shures!
Cheers:beer:

Kinda pricey there...

If you show proof of purchase of a first run X3 they will reduce the price to $159.95 (That's for the first 200 sold to Ex buyers)

Well that's practically giving them away!
