Hello everyone I was wondering if getting a Sansa Clip with an amp is a good setup. I currently have a 4th gen shuffle but no amp. I have M6 Pros and Monoprice 8323s. Any suggestions for a portable setup?

Amp might be a bit unnecessary, Clip is pretty good at driving all kinds of stuff. Not sure how it compares to Shuffle.

Thanks for the reply. If I was to get a clip, would an amp be helpful or is it my headphones that need upgrading? I heard the 8323 sound better amp'd.

You could try getting a topping nx1 amp. They are affordable and pair very well with the clip. A very popular amp that is good to have for "experimenting". You probably won't notice a huge difference (or any) now, but maybe for something down the line! (Havib3 pro1 for ex)

Nice is that rockboxed? Does rockbox allow higher microsd?

Yep. I think it is hit-and-miss with μSD cards above the official 32GB limit. I had a 64 gig that worked with my previous Clip Zip after using the Fat32 Format software recommended by users on the SanDisk forums ( http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?fat32format.htm ), worked for about a year but ended up being corrupted, I believe by attempting a file operation through Rockbox that got interupted when the player froze. Fortunately can still be read, just can't add or remove data. Later the Zip borked its own memory too, which is how I ended up with the Clip+. Rockbox adds a lot of functionality to them, but also comes with a bit of risk and a learning curve for dealing with some eccentricities.
