I got my pair on saturday and have been using them with the same settings on Poweramp that i saved with my pair of XB-800s and i'll have to go through more songs to properly test them, but this song......

Christ i almost sharted.

They are over ear, but the pads are so thin and the drivers are literally right on your ear, so i can understand the whole over-ear and on-ear mismatch.

I was JUST checking newegg at the moment and look whats on front page!

Interlude

I used to sit in the Vice Principals office a lot. On this occasion for lighting  and flushing an m80 which blew the toilet off the wall...broke it into 2 pieces actually.
He was a former green beret and had his medals on his office wall and he said I'd be dead before I was 21. He was obviously wrong.
He had a poster with a poem about sticking your hand in a bucket of water and pulling it out and seeing the hole it left behind. Do it again. Thrash your hand about and put it deeper and pull it out....do it again.

That hole in the water. That's what you leave behind.

Very negative stuff.
No matter what you do in the end you leave nothing behind.
Like the water. .......like your hand was never there.......life....like you were never in it.

I guess it's true. But I'ma thrash my hand this one time in respect to a helluva splasher.

watch the vid....man what a classic. 1980 Central Park.

The Extreme Bass thread ...it's gonna keep churning towards 100,000 and beyond.
Keeps your eyes open and your ears to the street and let me know when you find the good stuff. I'm trying to get my hands on a Z7 right now.

Sorry if it's been asked guys - does anybody know of replacement pads for the Krakens? I feel like X55's may fit but I'm looking for something more soft like velour.
I'll throw one in here... Brainwavz HM5 pads.

Aw shieett, I was hoping Kendrick would be a cool dude since he's one of my favorite rappers. He doesn't come off as being too arrogant. How is he in person? <sorry for off topic question>

Here's a on topic question:
How good do people think the new Sony MDR Z7 will perform on the bass test with its 70mm liquid crystal coated drivers? Does anyone have these ordered yet? They can be found on amazon:

Oh,Kendrick didn't blow it off my friend blew me off and never asked though he mighta asked for one for his wall. He's got a place in Lawndale California so he sees summa tha L.A./Cali stars.
I got the "LOL" from a *cough* .....friend
frown.gif

The best hitting of the sones is the Sig Dj and that's 50mm mylar. The 40mm titanium version is inferior.
This is a micro thin layer (Z7) and at high energy like drivers have had issue with treble distortion. Somebody mentioned this exact point in that thread. At casual to slightly raised listening levels they may be fine which is audiophile style but turn up the bass and gain and I dunno? I'm not a fan of Sony since they went bonkers with their model #/release/quality  disasters.

If I'm wrong I''ll be happy and buy them

Ah I see. I misunderstood you. About the Ultrasones. Does anyone have the DJ1 Pro headphones as opposed to the signature DJ that can do a bass test on? I think the drivers of the DJ1 Pro is the same size 50mm and mylar just like the SigDJ except the SigDJ is simply more sensitive so can get a lot more details and imaging out, but that shouldn't be a huge problem when it comes to pushing air. I ask because someone is selling their over flow stock of genuine DJ1 Pro drivers on ebay for really cheap, $30 driver pair for a $200 headphone is a good deal imo:

Interesting

I

I did a lot ..I mean 15 times of changing stuff and covering the pole piece vent and opening opposite breathers was the best config I found

They cover it up too but open a half and the driver looks a lot alike ...typical

I bought the very expensive Sig pro and got a store credit after returning them because they were not like the Sig Dj.
I wonder how the "1"'s are?
