The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

I have them, but i have very limited gear, so take this with reservation - the bass is present and you have to amp them a lot to bring out the bass, but the quality and general impression is really underwhelming. My S500 wipes floor with them in each and every segment, so i would suggest to skip them and save for something better - perhaps mr77x.
i got ws1100is on sale and i like it, but its not perfect. wont be buying anything else, and i was curious about m60x bc theres that other ath in the top 10.

I think ws1100is is very classy headphone, in terms of build quality and looks - and i am pretty sure it is solid sounding as well.
What do you dislike?
not enough bass! i know the right amp will solve that problem.

its semi open as well.

im no audiophile but ppl say its better than m50x. guessing better than msr7 considering sale price

I'm surprised to hear that the WS1100iS lacks bass for you. Below is a video of my WS770iS (the WS1100iS's little brother) moving paper.

I was about to mention @OldDude04 and his video - concluding that you lack an amp (assuming that you like the sound signature of ws1100), but he had jumped in instantly :)

You're going to be walking around in public with the SZs? You have greater self image confidence than I... :smile_phones: In my opinion, only women can pull off the oversized headphone look:

When one has a large melon like yours truly, the look is a little different:

But it is allowed in Airports. Everyone walking around with full size Bose and quite a few wearing Sony WH100m2s and I wear my Vmoda M100s. Now if i were to take out some 106mm M1060s i might get some funny looks....

Remember the 80s when the fashion goal WAS the BIGGEST head phones or BOOM BOX you could carry? Good times.

Since we just have this one thread, and since I am not going to read 700 pages. Is the first page an updated sticky? I mean, what is the CURRENT top 10 bass cannon list? I want a pair from the current top 10....

The current list is updated at all times pretty much :) just keep in mind the results are achieved with amping.. You can't just slap them into your smartphone and expect brain shaking results

JVC SZ2000 is still king ...

And I think it will be for a long time. Get a second hand since the current prices are ridiculous.

Right now, I'm trying to get some second-hand RBH HP2 or an M & O Electronics MOOH-BE00BT for portable effects. @Talan spoke very well of them and their capabilities to dig deep into the sub bass a long time ago. Unfortunately, the M & O that they sell on Amazon, does not send it to my country.

In the thread of the RBH-HP2, someone provided a link on headphones with the same design and technology of beryllium coated in the driver of these under the name of Urbanfun Trandsound ONE. I have asked RBH if they have sold the patent and if it is the same technology but they did not answer me. Has anyone here tried them?
