The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

Check the sony threads.
I know they have a thing called Clearbass but beyond that I'm not familiar with the device

I also am not familiar with that device but I have an Xperia Z1 Compact and it has got Clear Bass, and it works well. It does not make things muddy (unless you have already the EQ of the player boosted and you put the clearbass at max. But still there (which is a point which you may wish if you listen to dubstep) you can with a good can balance things by decreasing the low mids 250 till 750) and increasing the upper and upper mid region.
This on my phone.
My phone also has got an option called clear audio. Do not select that, it makes things more open and fresh, but disables the clearbass.
Then if sony makes all the same, you should have a sort of reverb, studio, hall, etc. Try with studio, makes things sound more wide, still sounds very natural, and the bass increases a bit in presence.

This what your settings look like with a +3 on the low and 2 mids, and -2 on the hi, for the Neutron MP EQ. You didnt say your gains, but this would be the general shape. I don't think the hump at 60 Hz is helping you achieve deeper wider bass.

My extreme Bass settings in Neutron are currently:

Lowband gain0dB
Mid1 band gain-12dB
Mid 2 band gain-14dB
Hi band gain-15dB
Low band cut off40Hz
Low band slope Q5
Mid1 band center freq1000Hz
Mid 1 band width Octaves7
Mid 2 band center freq2500Hz
Mid 2 band width Octaves9
Hi band cut off4000Hz
Hi band slope Q0.04

This gives a huge "spoon shape" with 1 at 0 dB, 100 Hz at -15 dB, and everything from 368 Hz to 5000 Hz at less than -30 dB. Add a bass boost by amp and you're in serious bass business (you can change the gains to adjust the scoop, to take advantage of amp boost and volume, and add more mid/treble as you like). I have found that additive gains (>0) in software EQ can lead to distortion, whereas with substractive EQ it needs more volume but keeps sound quality clean.

HTH!

Thanks!

By chance just in these days I was reading about the subtractive EQ in some Audio specialist blog.
I will experiment with it, although I do not have a wired can (so no external amp) but the BT version of the ATH-WS99
Which means, although they do get loud, if I subtract EQ so much I could run out of volume.
But maybe Neutron would compensate in the Gain when I normalize.
Which to respond to your question: I do not set any gain, I normalize my music (both options selected also dcoffset, although I have no idea what that is for) and Neutron select for each song the best gain with those EQ settings.
So, with addictive EQ Neutron put a negative gain.
Maybe with subtractive EQ would put a positive gain.

Now, before I change my settings again, after the suggestions of Hawaianboy I had tried something new. Tell me what you think or how it looks like:
Neutron:
Low band gain +9, cutoff 30, slope 0,6
Mid 1 gain +6, center frequency 90, width 1,8
Mid 2 gain +3, center frequency 9000, width 3
High band gain +3, cutoff 12000, slope 1,2

In the EQ of my phone (not parametric) I have two settings which I use in addition to what written above.
A first setting for normal music, the 400hz in -3db, 1000hz -2, 2500 -1, 6000 +3, 16000+3, plus a little push on the clear bass option.
And a second setting for heavy bass music, with 400 -6, 1000 -3, 2500 0, 6000 +3, 16000 +6, and a bigger push (almost max) of clear bass.
At first Ihad used the second setting (but with little clear bass) for normal music, and for heavy bass I had just added mote clear bass and more of 2500, 6000 and 16000.
Then I felt that with noral music the subtraction on the low mids was making things a bit too cold and v shaped, and I want yes a strong bass but also war mids and crispy highs (yes, I am one of those utopists).
So I have changed.

How does it look to you?
I know it is difficult to say because the same setting on two different headpones can sound very different. But so, generally speaking.

Bt, with the ATH-WS99BT in those tests where the frequency goes down and down I can hear till 15hz. 10 is just a very subtle vibration at max vol, not really a sound/pitch.
Less than 10 I cannot hear anything.
The ATH goes supposedly from 8 to 28000.
Not bad :)

@Hawaiibadboy do you have anything to do with @Hawaiiancerveza?
And Hawaiiancerveza, do yu by chance recently answered a question about the ATH-WS99 on Amazon?
About being closed or semi closed?

I have been wondering why AT advertise them as closed, if they clearly have the opening on the back which makes them semiclosed.
A Tech of Audio Technica told me "they are infact semi closed because of the opening of the back, but we call them closed to distinguish from our open ones".
Makes sense :D

Hopefully this time you bought shares in the company before this thread boosts sales through the roof.  BAAM!  I still love my e12 although the battery seems to drain rather quickly.  My Pa2v2 lasts over 100h easily on one charge.  Gain can be set very high and it looks just like a bomb, especially with a silver braded cable.

I track stuff (O.C.D) and .....the number of *********** sold via ******** is substantial. Not aware of another pair of threads Here/SZ that have pushed more units aside from release hype threads.

Backed up with vids...we move stuff. No long words or highly regarded folks you never met saying lots of the long words......vids.....

I'd like some Cayin stock

My friend is asking recommended amps, mp3s, and headphones... Igave him a list of those that have been mentioned the e11, e12, cayin c5 for amps as far as i know are the best. for mp3s i gave him the x1 x3 and x5 as options then the headphones as sony xb1000 or 700, the sz1k or 2k, and the ha-mr 55s and 77s. i told him the most affordable setup to be able to have since we are in highschool still is the x1 with the e11 and the HA-MR77s.

Was that good advice for the time being? He owns all of the dr dre beats and says hes getting tired of them. I told him so you're looking for REAL headphones this time? With 2x the amount of bass, beats will EVER have? and then thats when i told him.
