The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

I currently own AKG K240. They are nice headphones, which i use every day. But i need something with a little more kick in addition.

The SZ2000 sells for ~300EUR here. For that price, would there be other recommendations? I guess i could give up some of the bass for significant gain in other areas.

I might also be able to get the SZ1000 which goes for roughly ~230.

I was looking at headphone amps because i was bored and i saw the creative's soundblaster e1 headpone amp. Any information about this thing?

I'd go check the computer audio section if you get no reply here. I'm not familiar with that gear.

You would need a portable amp like the Cayin C5 or e12  and a source that lifted the sub-bass. Lotta work but ton of bass.

The M100 would be better kickers that the AKG right out the box. Not SZ level but more than K240

I was looking at the E5 when it was first released.  The cool thing was.  You could create an eq setting on your desktop/laptop and load it onto the E5 for use.  Plus it had some sound processing to boost bass.  But I could never find how much power it pushed out.  So I just gave up on it.  There might be some info on it now, since its been out for while.  I haven't checked on it lately.

I bought my sz2000 on eBay from user Oisa-Japan. It was 213$ including shipping. Then paid 16€ in tax and customs fee. Price alltogether ~205€... Took some 3 weeks to arrive and process customs. This was to Latvia, U.K. much faster.

HBB what you think about other players on the market? i mean i know what x5 it's a good price/quality product with good eq. But what about ibasso (dx50,dx90,dx100), hifiman, cowon? (i try c3 but that was not impressive for me) stupid interface, bad china qiality and sound more (mid/high section rather then bass). I want basshead player but maybe from high price category. So i can post bass test later and you can compare with x5.

i have seen the review of 3 players, cowon c4, ibasso dx90 and hifiman hm901, the reviewer said what hm901 with minibox provide most of the bass, then c4 was mid/high clearence, and dx90 was just good for the price but nothing special.

I personally try c4 and c3, never heard ibasso or hifiman. C4 was really good but freq is so smooth (treble=mid=bass).

The Sony range with Mega Bass is an absolute monster. The A17 and the ZX2 can be pump out solid bass however the Sony amps are more neutral.

I run a Sony A828 into a Cayin C5 or a Headstage Arrow 4G and it good times all around.

Reading review about a17, autor said what sound experts compare a17 and x5 and x5 was the winner becuase sound was more solid. What about this thing? "PonoPlayer".
