I've ordered too , I'll get silver as well when released
Yeah I really prefer the silver look, but ordered anyway. If I like the sound I'd just move the black one then. Detachable, Beryllium coated, & Fiio? As long as they don't go crazy with tuning or purposely putting sub-par driver unit. I don't see why they ain't a banger.

BTW I think the sale number was already at 155 like 10 minutes ago, when I placed the order. So you'll never know, I believe they might stick with this price for the rest of day.

Congrats on your new shiny! :)

Did you get the original EB2S, or the EB2S Pro?

As @mt877 mentioned, there are differing thoughts as to whether conditioning provides any meaningful benefit. Having said that, on paper and mechanically it is a real thing for anything with moving parts. This doesn't confirm an actual change in the sound. From my experience, some sets have exhibited changes where others don't change at all. If these sets DO change, I personally think that it doesn't actually change the sound frequencies, but it CAN change the overall tone (speed, attack, other major peaks, etc...) because of the diaphragm or voice coil "settling or stretching" a bit.

Either way, I am also with mt877 insomuch as I don't do any sort of conditioning by letting them sit while playing sounds. I simply listen to them and enjoy them (or not enjoy them ).

Congrats on your new shiny! :)

Seeing your post, and as cheap as these are, I couldn't resist, and pulled the trigger on them. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on them. I can't wait to finally have a Smabat set (even if not named as such) that don't shreek will a ferverous upper mids... :)

That is what I was thinking when I saw the picture of them. I also just ordered them (again, to take advantage of the discount). I have no expectations, so I won't be surprised if they suck, but will be if they are really good. :)

I can't be certain, but it looks like that cable has more of a squared off section; the part the recesses into the housing of the stem to make the cable sit flush. I would bet that a standard 2 pin cable would work, but will not push in all the way, which might make them less stable or strong in damage prevention. It appears (only from pictures) that FiiO is trying to make a "semi-proprietary" design here; maybe so you have to purchase their own cables???

I could be totally off base here, because all I have to go by with this is pictures. I might have a better angle once I receive my set. :)

We've seen this sort of 2 pin with rounded corner before. Well might not be a great idea. All it took was a quick work with Art knife. I've done it multiple times with cables and Bluetooth adapters. Obviously think twice with those fancy cables (You could possibly leave the knifework on those extension/MMCX to 2pin adapters).

Did you try the supplied (BT) cable? I don't see any information concerning codecs used and given the (lack of) brand name of the chipset, I am assuming that it only uses SBC?!
Thanks. I'm really impressed with the sound coming out of the Aeolian Bell buds and really can't believe Smabat is even involved with design or manufacturing of them. I hope you really like them when you get to listen to them. I hope that everyone that decided to get them here will give some short impressions. To be quite honest if I knew these would be as good as they are I would have rather spent the money I spent on the Dunu Alpha 3 and bought a couple sets of Aeolian Bells.

I only bought the buds without any cable, I didn't get the bluetooth cable. If someone else got the Bell + BT cable set they can let everyone know what codec(s) are being used.

The Black one.
Maybe I'll make a little comparison with sennheiser mx985 and shozy, LOL
