It can be repaired once it fully breaks be roughing up the plastic where it snapped with an iron file or sand paper, and then applying Loctite Ultra Gel. The fix should last. I've repaired an M50x and a few M40xs in a similar manner with lasting results.

I actually don't recommend ordering a replacement from AT, the headband design has an inherent flaw, but Loctite should make up for it.

what is that? Looking for an audiophile closed back basshead headphone. Was thinking maybe the Panda with EQ, but this looks interesting.

1 of the pads on my ws1100is has lost its shape, its flat in the back on one side and rubs against my ear, wonder if this is why the 40hz is so much louder on that side

Back when I had the WS770iS I put some Brainwavz pads on them, way more comfortable than stock, didn't collapse, and they didn't hurt the bass at all. I know the oval pads fit the WS1100iS as well. HERE is the pleather version and HERE is the sheepskin version. You can see the pleather pads in my bass test vid for the WS770iS below.

Sad day...the dog got hold of my Crossfades last night and they are toast. They were an awesome headphone and sounded great but instead of replacing them I want to see what else is out there.

Are there any pair out there that offers a massive ear cup like AT's or Hifiman that deliver the same level of bass? I'm running an SMSL SP200/M200 combo to push them. My only complaint with the VModa's was they were a little uncomfortable at times. Budget is $400 or less.

That really sucks! So instead of the dog eating your homework, he decided that plastic and metal tasted better then paper. I had a cat that ate a headphone cable once, non detachable, super thin wires, was not fixable, sucked! Animals are so destructive. Good luck on finding something else.

What do you guys think would be a fair price for a pair of jvc sz2000?, I've seen some ridiculous prices on ebay im guessing because they are discontinued

In mint condition, $500.00 with stock pads, $600.00 with Brainwaves HM5 Sheepskin Leather Pads mod.

In broken state, $150.00

And yes, they have been discontinued for 4-years now, they are super rare, and soon will become antiques.

While I can't argue that $450 to $500 for a mint pair is fair, why would $30 to $40 pads add $100 to the value? That one made me go "Huh?" lol.
