The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

The only weak points of the 2 JVC headphones are the swivel. In the JVC SZ1000 SZ2000 thread there is a guy who linked his 3d printed replacements for a small fee. Outside of the swivels the things are built like tanks. There are big and beefy. Also In my case they don't get much play. Maybe a few times a year is all. Maybe they will get more play when I decide to put together a home system that can push them hard enough to kill me. Until then though they are just brutally effing violent when EQ'd and amped and I have to tell ya, Its not something I can do all the time so mine have held up remarkably well over the past 5 years.

Also, I just saw a pair of the SZ1000's on EBAY used from JAPAN for $100. Since I have the SZ2000 I don't know how much more the 2k's hit then the 1k's, but the 1k's are still on the list so might be a cheaper option and a better cost for performance then the used 2k's which are $300ish
I saw the $109 ebay ones too, but it looks like one of the hinges is superglued solid - or something like that. The pics were not high res, so I am not able to make out. If someone is ok with that, I suppose its a great deal

Other then Sz2000 there’s nothing that is still on production that people can buy new? Any High end stuff that is also well builded?

Fostex TH900MKII or TH909 seems like a decent one, other then they’re ugly as **** LOL.

Hmm, ugly? I find them very pretty, except i don't like the cable / connectors.
If your budget allows, you should definitely listen to some Fostex: TH-600, TH-X00, TH-610, TH-900 etc..

Love the sound signature of the sonys. :) Just a little sad they're mainly going wireless now. Do EQ settings get saved on the 900n's when using them wired?

Hph pro 500 good sounding headphones with specially a good and fast clean hitting bass. I owned this, response well with EQ, but are too huge on the head for me, so he never saw the streets. :D

I bought the JVC Sz1000 for a little over $100 bucks. I also have the Fostex TH900. I'm going to compare the two once everything is in.

Stereo is pretty nice. The staff are generally helpful and don't try to hard sell you anything. Pity they're down to just one location left (I think).

I know this thread generally talks about wired headphones, but is there some honourable-mention list for bluetooth basshead headphones? My Crossfade Wireless is developing problems with charging/battery, and I'm looking for a replacement. I use them on the commute, and once I've tasted the freedom of not having to grapple with wires on the move, it's hard to go back.

Tried Sony's XB950s and I don't think they'll be comfortable for me when used for over 20mins at a time. Plus they feel really plasticky. Skullcandy Crushers - I feel like they'll break within a month for me.

The CFW has a fun, enjoyable sound for me, but having had two CFWs develop problems in less than a year each, I'm a bit wary. Am currently looking at getting the B&O H4, but other than that, any ideas?

How is the SQ on XB900N?
Do you maybe compare it with 1000XM3?

regards,
Simon
Hi there, first of all I'm BAD at explaining things SQ on the XB900N are pretty nice, they're not muddy at all and they got BASS, the 1000xm3 are more "hifi" but not half as fun as the XB's, so if your a basshead you go for the 900n's. Sony got a good companion app on both Android an iOS (very nice eq ++)I use an iPhone 11 Pro Max and the app works great. if you jump over to Youtube you will find a bunch of reviews for both headphones + comparison reviews too. sorry for not being more helpful
