The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

EDIT:

I misread the post.
I thought the 55's were coming in for the pads......the 77's
They are legit.
Mids like ass but bass that kicks like a mule.
Best entry lvl priced thumpers on the market.  Price to bass performance lvl is off the ******* chart.

just a question, which pads do you prefer, the mr55x ones or the mr77x ones? I settled to buy one of those since I prefer tighter pads to better feel the impact of the bass but you said that the mids kinda sound like ass so I was wondering if that happens on the 55x pads too...

I'm gonna use them on a SZ1000 btw,  was going for velour pads but my fear to regret this decision because of the bass reduction on velour pads made me want to buy one of those pads

I just installed rockbox on my sansa C250. It has a nice EQ and I can pick any frequency in 10hz increments, but the power output can't handle boosting +24db@50hz without insane signal distortion my Lumia 925 does. I don't know why or how, but my Lumia 925 at max volume with +24db@50hz has zero signal distortion. Nokia really did something right with their audio on their phones.

Just wanted to try 77x\ try 77x pads on SZ2k (2 in 1), if 77x will prove themself okay I'll go for used 55x (another pair of pads) or HM5 pads. I have to import most headphone stuff with forwarding companies, this is why 2 in 1 option seems reasonable to me

The pads of the 55 and 77x are the same AFAIK.

The 77 pads come with the 77's though so....

If it's Hip Hop/Dubstep ...they'll prove themselves.In spades
If it's the strum of an acoustic guitar from a Gordon Lightfoot track...you'll....be less impressed.
Unless Gordo remastered his tracks with some trap beats

If 77x will play Massive Attack/Eskmo/Skream like stuff well I'm ok with that (using budget studio Superlux HD669 for acoustic/rock/classical music). BTW, tested HD669 on Wiz Khalifa's track, it seems like studio cans are no-no with paper tests, 50 mm can't move paper before distorting

Isolation....what is that
redface.gif

The XX pads are all about the thump/bump/vibe/slam, wham bam thank you ma'm
If you're cool with that...you'll be happy.

Hah that's what I'm looking for, I mostly listen to Liquid DnB (lotta sub bass
L3000.gif
) and I'm mostly gonna use them at home so I don't need much isolation honestly. I'm gonna try and get some DT770 velour pads later on for the comfort, isolation and to hear more acoustic type of music but at least until the summer ends I'm gonna go full bass on this.

The bass is bigger and the mids seem better but I'm like the last dude to give a **** about the bottom of a "V" but the whole thing is more forceful.

@cb3723 and anyone else who might have bought the Lafayette F990, my HM5 pads arrived and don't fit on these gigantic headphones. I don't know if there are even any production headphone pads that actually fit these cans. They are unbelievably huge to house the 89mm drivers. I was really hoping to post a massive paper test, but now that'll have to be delayed as the old and crusty stock pads are simply really annoying to use at all. Does anyone have any suggestions? Really want to get these bass blasters up and running but I can't seem to find anything that fits.

 They are re-branded.
The electrowave give off a bit less impact because of the velour like pads so they do not sound the same. They both have impact but the Electrowave loses a tad of bass but has a superior sound signature.
