(Off Topic) So how does the T1 sound to your ears?

I've got to admit, Ive not heard one Beyer headcan before.

I think the Beyer C.O.P are a laugh and a half. I'm not a beyer fan in any way.
I may have a prejudice instead of a bias...shoot me...I'm human

THESE had a tag that said "TEAC". I couldn't see the side and just put them over my head and was wowed
eek.gif

These are Audiophile Titans so I hear.
Sounded like a soundstage about as big as um...the entire universe...a dry cold universe.... Jazz ensemble playing  in a massive stadium . The T1 were the best on that 4 sided audiophile rack. They were "lively" and sounded like they were big money. I felt like that Jazz ensemble was right up on stage and they were jamming crystal clear.

THEN

I see the side and it says Beyer.....

I would pay $1000 for those. Heard their competition ...many of which were more expensive but those T1 are very very impressive. I posted in their appreciation thread once after being sonic blown away by the T1 and was....ignored. I'm a basshead...What do I know?

Those are very very nice cans when "A" "B" compared with fellow legends.

I am a fan

This is the can that SONY still use 70mm drivers with - the MDR-MA900 open back which make for outstandingly massive soundstage that equals if not surpasses many 'summit-fi" cans that hold a significantly higher price tag.

Dare say you will have heard these for yourself, but if not, they're definitely worth a listen, if for nothing else but the awesome out of head soundstage :)

Edit: Imagine a "SZ3000" (successor to SZ2000?) - 55mm bass driver replaced with 70mm one :L3000:

I actually like those a lot.
I'm a big fan of SONY and JVC

They been doing bass for a long time

Dre musta been playing kick the can or something way back when. I got love for Beats but folks saying they paved the way are ignoring Sony and JVC. They never put the product and the marketing together like Monster/Beats did but they been booming bass for a long long time.

Thought I'd post this for folks who think clever placement of stuff ...paper and pads really makes a big diff like were gaming the system and they just can't get the hang of it. No your cans just got no bass.
tongue.gif

A few seconds in this thing almost falls over and the pad does but the paper never stops....you can't stop the bass!!

I'm not even gonna say the name cuz it's in the image and I don't want any searches coming back to this thread.
These are gonna be really really popular. They feel as beautiful as they look. Going on Sale in about 3 weeks (pre-orders and private demo's...no vid or pics ...already going on) .Was not allowed to use my amp but these hit nice and deep. The guy played back some Vocaloid Japanese basstronic mash-up and was waiting for me. I would call these basshead friendly. Sexy as ****. Philips has a dark sig IMO like JVC if not more refined....refined darkness

 LOL

Too expensive and not bass tested but they thump.  Dude knows I'm on here and his SZ are sold out. Japan shop. When he gets a vendor stock I'm gonna test them as they are high input cans.
Highest quality DJ cans I have ever touched. These will be getting their own thread soon (not by me of course). If there is one already my bad and who is the dude behind it I don't know. I loathe wiki warriors so I check after this post.

O.K.

Now I check and there's tons of stuff on here...not tons but stuff. The guy today was making me feel like I was some lucky chosen one. LOL
WHATEVER!!!

Too expensive here in Japan at 600 IMO but very very nice and gonna build up a rep real quick. No idea the caps were changeable.

I've a feeling you've broke the story of these cans here first and - Whooooah! - good job bro - those Philips cans look amazing! Can't wait for their UK release for sure - you've already auditioned and say they thump :L3000: - Well that's to be expected if they are DJ cans - it's a attribute that is a must for beat matching when monitoring up next track to be brought in to the live mix :)

Edit: it just gets better - Armin Van Buuren has teamed up with Philips to create these cans - that means these cans are unofficially officially
OVER 9000!!!

I know nothing about him.
He seems quite smart since..
He's associated himself and helped design a very nice set of cans. Balanced in the hands. They feel nice. They are legit DJ cans in design but felt quite nice in the over ear config. They come with on ear/over ear pads
Very clever. The thing feels like quality. The fanbase is gonna be huge and loyal and rightfully so. Like I said. The hype has not arrived but believe it when it comes.
I hope your one of the first to snag a set and make a thread for owners.

Definitely over 9000....definitely

Notes: these cans are essentially the Vibe BD only with different branding/colour scheme applied, but main difference is the Electrowave have velour pads rather than Vibe BD's pleather, which appear to result in velour pads restricting the bass impact, combined with camping force pushing paper down into pads more compared to the more firmer BD pleather pads.
