how do you connect it with an amp? i've read it doesnt have a coaxial port

So far, I've only used it with a 3.5mm aux cable to a small hybrid tube amp. I have used it as an external DAC to my computer via the USB-C port. Cayine also offers a short USB-C-to-coaxial cable for about $20.

Dear Podster,
Happy New Year !!

Bought myself the Cayin N3 as a Christmas gift to myself. Loving it !
So far have been listening with Sony MDR-7506 and Shure SE215. I also bought the USB to coaxial cable, will try with my desktop. Been spending waaaaay to much money buying FLAC and DSD files from HDTracks and Acoustic Sounds.

Thank you for your guidance.

- Mark

Lovin' it @deadhead12 , for $30 you can add the F1 and drive anything you have:wink: This entire rig (Walnut V2/F-1, KZ ZS6 w/braided upgrade cable and JDS IC) cost $97.93 shipped!

Hey Podster, this setup is awesome. Love your posts. I'm interested in a dap and that setup looks cool. Can you explain why you need both of the Walnut products?

And the walnut rig vs cayin n3 or benjie t6? That walnut combo looks sick but seems too bulky for me but I wouldn't mind since its such a cool affordable combo!

THX @misterchao , the only reason I run the F-1 is for demanding cans as the V2 will drive most iem/ciem's with ease. Another reason is I have tried Topping, Blue bird, Xduoo amps with the V2 and it seems to lose that all important analog magic the V2 is so good at!
I also own the N3 & T6, T9 and my Benjie fave the S5 (killer digital player 's for the money, all of them).
I'd just start with a V2 and then if you find it has trouble driving low impedance cans get an F1:beerchug:

Sony Walkman NWZ-A865 & Shure SE215 Wireless (Special Edition). The Walkman which is the 16GB model retailed for $199.00 when brand new in 2011/2012 and the SE215s currently retail for $149.00. This is an amazing pair once you burn-in the SE215s, they get noticeably louder after about 9-12 hours of listening time, sound quality is outstanding!

Anyway, getting this thread back to budget-fi -

Borrowed the MEElectronics M6-CLs from my friend, he got them for 20$. I liked how comfortable they were with the single flanges, especially with my Sony Hybrids. Had a tough time with Bi-Tri flanges though. Trying to make them fit was tough, and the left one had a bit of driver flex. SQ is quite good for 20$ but they have sibilance. Sufficed it by using EQ and tuning them down around the 6khz mark (needed constant EQ-ing song after song sadly). I'm used to my SRH440 so yeah IEMs aren't really my thing. I'm happy I tried these out.

Awesome picture, Walkman for life!
