Sorry, just looking at the other rigs in the other thread makes me feel mine is budget

Not a problem,  that is a very nice little rig you have there but it's a tab bit steep for this thread.

If it helps, I taped them together with double sided tape and the tips are DIY made from ear plugs

Yep, they're made from earplugs such as moldex spark plugs although mine are some other brand. It looks like candy but, for me they are really comfortable, give me great isolation and the sound quality is much improved in bass and treble over all other foam tips I've tried. Plus its a free upgrade and I'll never have to by tips again

I use those same ear plugs at my job haha

I didn't exactly use moldex spark plugs. I just said them as an example seeing as the're more well known than the ones I actually use. Actually I found different brands performed differently. There were a couple of brands I used which were not good to convert into tips

I have no idea what the brand of the ear plugs is that I use at work. They just look exactly the same as those.
