Oooh interesting! Can I ask what are some differences between Silvanus and Serratus?
The Silvanus are really made for people who like a warm sound and bass-focused music. Serratus is pretty well known for being more reference-like in its tuning. Serratus is an easier recommendation for somebody who listens to a wider range of music than me.

I agree with this. LREY models are more bass heavy and I would consider them in the 'FUN' category. If I want great full thumping bass and warm sound, I pick my LREY woody. For a headphone analogy, I would put it in the Fostex TH frame of mind if that helps.

Yeah my W03 Pro has decent bass, but not as much subbass as Ace Bee heard from his set (obviously YMMV). I prefer SBS for a fun set , but it's like twice as much as the W03 Pro lol

Why aren't planar drivers used in flatheads?

Can't achieve decent bass production. Bass is already an issue on most buds using dynamic drivers. The physics of the situation sadly. I think a few planar buds have been made in the past, there's a Japanese model somewhere I think. But the sound is just not acceptable.

Sorry, I do not own the DX7...
Oh, I swore you had one or it was someone else with a similar name as yours.

Sorry for the confusion!

Compare them to the DX7s, please!
You are probably thinking of dnolan, who has owned both but sold them both (or is in the process of selling).

Replacing the cable will certainly change the sound, the stock cable is not very good. I went through a few cables and settled on the XINHS 6N Copper Litz, it's not the best cable, but it added low frequencies.
And what source did you listen to these earbuds on, and what genres of music?
I tried them from both a Moondrop Dawn Pro and just right out of my phone's 3.5mm jack. I didn't hear much difference between the two, so I didn't bother trying any other sources. I tried them on metal, rap, classic rock, indie rock, old pop, jazz, etc. Every time the instrumentals were clear and had a lot of energy, but the vocals were slightly recessed and had a bit of a fuzzy hissyness.
