they have pretty good details, vocals are forward and intimate, lack air and lack low end punch and texture....id say they ar enot worth the asking price. Those transparent driver shells are bad quality mine cracked from the first time i popped them onto mx500 shells and one of the driver became loose from the shell. As a comparison i like the 120bery way better, much better sensation of openness, better micro details and much better deep bass.
you're right about sound and quality. They cup-shell are smaller than necessary, they also fit tightly on my housing(shell)

Can you share the link to that composite bery 120ohms driver please?

You have good ears my friend 😉

Is there that much of a difference in sound between the same driver, but with higher impedance? I know thinner cables and a bigger coil generates a stronger magnetic response, but is the lesser distortion that differentiable between, say a 120Ohm driver and a 600Ohm driver.

Thank you
Btw, do you have any other drivers that you can recommend that are on par or more than said driver? I'll have LREY audio retune one of my buds. I may ask him to do a custom tuning too with that 120ohm bery driver and with some other good drivers.
You asked the wrong person. I like all drivers, each one has something special.
You can trust Lreay's recommendations. It makes some very beautiful earbuds

Yeah, i do trust him. I bought 3 buds from him recently. However, one was poorly tuned imho due to the low bass quantity and a really high pinna gain (atleast 15db+from the lowest part of the mids). It shows some of the channel imbalance, i may as well ask him for a retune

Regarding the topic of using 3,5mm in 4,4mm via adapter, i have Tempotec Sonata E44, which comes with a 4,4mm male to 3,5mm female adapter, and is the only way to use it with 3,5mm transducers, as the 4,4mm is the main out. I think they would not provide a adapter that wasn't safe to use given the context, but who knows.
You guys think this adapter is safe to use with other sources?

Also, how can i identify a 'fryied' amp?

And it still uses the versions of the yuin shells that don't fit my ears :frowning2:
The original style Yuin shell is something that defines the Simphonio Dragon series and I wouldn't expect it to ever change. Yuin shells happen to be the most comfortable for my ears, but in this case I'm deterred by the $700 price.
