Hello Thread!
If you guys allow me, i'll shower you with questions:

I saw a driver on aliexpress, which I didn't see commented on here, it claims to be made of molybdenum. Has anyone tried this one yet?
https://a.aliexpress.com/_mKSohJk

Has anyone tried both huayunxin shells (Wind Chime and Waist Drum)?

Wind Chime
https://a.aliexpress.com/_mrP7HFk
Waist Drum
https://a.aliexpress.com/_mKPJRzY

Any impressions about the sound, and assembly process of these would be very helpful.

Do you think there's much of a difference between 32 and 300 DLC?

Sorry for this wall of questions, any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I'm also very curious about how they sound. But in theory, it should sound identical to what a beryllium driver sounds like..

I've tried both; they're both really comfortable to me, so I get better bass because of that. Also the flat wall inside causes noticeable reverbs, and you can't use thick internal wiring other than it's pretty straightforward to assemble.

300ohm DLC sounds significantly better to me.

It's fine! I hope that I helped.

Do you think any of the two shells boost any frequencies more than the other?
There's any way to deal with these reverberations?

It in fact helped, thank you!

Is reverb a bad thing? Im about to buy the chime, pairing it with 18 ohm pu+composite. Also, does it offer better soundstage than the usual mx500 housing?

It's very dependent on driver and shell synergy, and the fitment in your ear can cause it to sound different. But in my experience they boost the bass. They're pretty similar internally.

You can use full foam covers, cut them, and place them on that flat wall inside, or you can use these instead.

It depends if you like the echoey sound lol.

The thing with MX500 shells is that they pair well with a lot of drivers, so I can't really say, but with my limited experience, the MX500 has a better soundstage.
