Earbuds Round-Up

I’m going to parrot the advice of others, but I think you are asking a bit much from an earbud :) Most people have actually chosen IEMs as Their Way. Not us of course, but you may find that to be true for yourself as well… With that said, you can DIY and earbud for that money that will compete with the best of the best. You could actually do almost 2 of them for that kind of momoney.
DIY you say? i promise they were not designed to look phallic, learning f360 to make bud shells quickly though.

Unfortunately such earbuds don't exist, and certainly not for $50. In fact, there are situations in which IEMs are indispensable because of their passive noise isolation and because of the stability of their seating when moving. That's why it's great to have different solutions for different situations...
Of the cheap solutions, for myself I still recommend the RY4S Plus, which with the balanced cable I personally clearly prefer over the Yincrow X6.

Thank you for the recommendations gentlemen ! Sadly Aliexpress does not ship the RY4S mmcx to Belgium.
From AwsmDannys youtube Vid my takeaway is the rikubuds Lancer 1 as a recommendation. Thanks for that. It sits somewhere in a sweet spot for me: 50€ is neither too cheap nor too expensive. It seems like a good starting point. Also I like to support small businesses.
DIY is not an option for me at this time: I have two small kids aged 4 and 2 - any minute I spend reading and posting in online forums or doing stuff for myself is giving me a guilty conscience - the family needs me! 😌
Other options I am considering right now: Fiio ff5 and Yincrow Rhino.
Those I could probably find on Amazon, their excange and warranty policy would make those a worryfree purchase.
By the way: I totally do not expect endgame sound quality for 50€. I was simply hoping for enthusiastic recommendations which could help me a lot in shortening the decisionmaking process! 😂
Thanks again for your help. Donald

This was the driver recommended to me by some friends to start with. It's sage advice.
No, no, no 150ohm WG (white glue). If someone suggested that driver to me, I wouldn't be friends with him.:smiling_imp:
I ordered it blindly so I have no one to blame but myself

150ohm BG (blue glue) is another story. The biggest mistake is to order only one pair  ... and never use @o0genesis0o "D&D" method  because you'll be disappointed with it.

They are hard to tune... what 300 bery drivers ?
Ah, my mistake, I meant the 600ohm bery.
I think it depends. Can have success as stock as long as the shell has a hole and double dampers.

Some other recommendations are the 300 ohm PET, 300 ohm Beryllium, and the SMBAT 100ohm Bio Driver
Oh, I forgot about the 100 bio driver from the Super One (or as they have misspelled it, Super Noe). It is a very good driver IMHO. Problem is that i think you can only get it from the M4 collection, and those look like a real pain to extract. Maybe @o0genesis0o can confirm this at some point?

Can confirm that I don’t know how to extract those drivers. Maybe I’ll wack them with hairdryer or something.

I've been trying out so many buds in the last 6 months it's been kinda crazy. There's a few standouts though. My current obsessions are TGX Ear Sunniva and Rikubuds Alter Rider 3 (releasing soon). If looking at lower prices I like Rikubuds Lancer 1, Nice HCK EB2S Pro and Yincrow X6. I have a video where I went over most of the buds I've tried this year as well

I never thought another earbud would take time off the Yinman 600s but wow the Sunnivas are absolutely incredible. Vocals are absolutely lifelike, pair this with something like the RU7 and your ears are in for a treat! Imaging is pinpoint precise better than anything I have tried thus far. The soundstage is wide but not overly so and more importantly it is very deep. There is so much depth that it is borderline holographic. You can hear reverbs from sounds giving you some insight into the recording environment. I could feel this phenomenon in other sets but it happens so seamlessly with the Sunniva. What kept me away from the Serratus was the treble and thankfully here we have detail but it is presented in a smooth manner. The Sunnivas are extremely resolving and scale really well with better gear. Recently got the Gustard R26 and am truly awestruck at what I am listening to.

I know some have complained about the mid-bass being too much but it’s really not if you listen to any sort of music with bass. The mid-bass is perfect, it has just the right amount without feeling artificially boosted. This is better than the Yinman 600s, it has real punch! The subbass felt rolled off at first when powered on the RU7 but once it burned in and I swapped to FIIO foam and a desktop amp, just wow. There is real rumble here, the Yinmans has more subbass but I feel that even though the Sunniva has less, it can do more with what it has. This is a surprisingly close fight and did not expect the Sunniva to go head to head with the Yinmans in bass. I can’t wait for what Jim has in store for us in Q4 when he will release an actual dark/bassy set.

Seeing as how incredible his first fully custom drivers are, I am stoked for whatever comes in the future. This just proves that Jim is not only good at tuning drivers but at making something truly special. The price may be steep but the Sunnivas are easily 20-30% better than current “TOTL” earbuds. Always happy to help. I owe alot to the generosity of other members here, mostly in the earbud community I might add. The more we share, the richer we all become.

I hope the APWS suits your tastes. It's a specialist, and I hope I've reflected that in my review clearly but I honestly believe for the right listener it's a golden sound. I've not felt such relief from upgraditis like this before.

30% better than current TOTLs?
It's so impressive.

By the way, you do have a nice clean setup there!
