EPH-10 has a fairly V-shaped sound. I think if you like EPH-100, then T-PEOS H-100 is a viable choice. However, going from EPH-100 will give you a more accurate / flatter sound, so it is unnecessarily an 'upgrade' over EPH-100 fun factor.

I'm surprised you think eph100 is V shaped. To me mids are definetely not recessed single bit. This is actually the first time I'm hearing someone call them vshaped.

Everyone hears and perceives things differently.

To me the mids can also sound distant at times on the EPH100.

I currently own Pfe 112 with grey filters and looking for an upgrade. Do you think Tdk Ba200 is overal upgrade to Pfe in terms of sound quality? I want a little more bass than Pfe's. Thank you.

The bass is quite dominant on EPH-100, and the treble is fairly bright and crisp - if the mid is not recessed relatively to the bass and treble, then it sounds closer to being flat / neutral. Since it isn't anywhere being flat sounding, then the mid must be recessed by definition, and thus it must be V-shaped sounding.

In term of musicality, BA200 wins by a big margin. However, PFE with grey filter  has better detail retrieval. In fact, PFE with black filter (and even green filter for bass) is closer to the sound signature of BA200. However, as a whole I would still rank BA200 higher than PFE. But you will not get the same detail on BA200 since it is not a detail oriented IEM.

Hi Everyone,
I currently have Brainwavz r1 and M2, i find r1 to be too bloated and muddy and although M2 is much better but it still feels, i dunno the jargon but i guess muddy suits best...

I am looking for something in the range of $50 which i want a little warm but clear mids and not so tiring highs.... From what i have read around, is GR06 a good choice in the range? From where i live, the only access i have to are brands Hifiman, vsonic, sony, brainwavz, astrotec, rock-it... I am tempted to go upto RE-400 but not sure if i am ready to appreciate a neutral bias... So would there be a proper step in between that i can enjoy?

GR06 is still a very warm sounding IEM though. If you are looking at a clear mid, I'll suggest the Astrotec AM90 instead,

Sorry I missed this. AM90 is better. VC02 is a decent IEM, but only at the level of R02 Silver / GR02 and not as good as AM90.
