The KZ EDX Pro X dropped, and well, @FastGecko5 was right. These things are under $10. Single DD. Now, it's a FUN phone. It's lacks refinement on either end, like that girl who was raised in a group home and you met at 7-11, but she knows how to party and show you a good time. That is these. Surprising clarity, decent top end extension, and the bass hits!! decent technicalities for something this dirt cheap. The KZ Ling Long are better in most areas, but the form factor and fun factor are superior in the EDX. A really good throw away that you can take on walks or the gym without fear of loss or damage.

Lmao

Yeah it's decent. If you look at graphs it's pretty much just a CCA CRA in KZ clothes, I personally loved the CRA+ so makes sense that the EDX Pro X is solid as well.

It's a toss up between the D41 and the SR5 for me. Both are excellent IEMs. The D41 is slightly v-shaped, wider, and more technical, but man the SR5 just has some sort of special sauce. It's intimate but not in a claustrophobic way, and the tonality is just absolutely perfect.

The wild thing though is that the ST7 is hot on the heels of them both. I don't know how TRN did it for so cheap. You had to pay easily over $100 a couple years ago for the quality the ST7 offers.

That's not to discount the D41 and SR5, they're both great IEMs. But it goes to show how much of a bang TRN is back with.

Tanchjim 4U

Tanchjim might want to make some noise in the $50~$100 territory.

BTW Hifigo AliExpress store replied my message for the actual price of Tanchjim 4U right now. It's

The ST7 are in my ears at the moment, while I chill at lunchtime, and bro, it's just mindboggling to figure out how they did it? How did they get such high quality tuning out of dirt cheap tech, and then charge hardly anything for it (let's not discount the quality of the shell either).

At that price, they are taking straight aim at the Delci and EA500LM.

Gosh for $25 it’s hard to not just try even for the looks but that 16ish DB ear gain and those BAs in the nozzle just makes it hard to believe they won’t be shouty and these days I find myself more allergic to sibilance and wanting dat bass

NOOOOOOOOO! There is no shout, brotha. The ST7 are not shouty in the least. The nozzle BA is under CONTROL. Now, the sub bass is rolled off, but there is plenty of punch and mid bass warmth to keep things moving with bass tracks without fatiguing mids or highs. TRUST.

They sound better than they measure but yeah they're not really bass monsters if that's what you're into.

Credit actually goes to @HiFiHawaii808 as I heard him mentioning about this IEM to Jude. So I popped by the Eminent Ears booth to give this a listen. All I can say is that after that, I was gently pushing Ethan & Jude to give a listen :D.

So I'm stoked that I'm going to be able to give the Ruby another shot in a much more controlled environment. Don't have it yet but fingers crossed that I'll get that opportunity soon - in the works.

KZ vs TRN competition, especially ZS10Pro segment is a gift that keep giving.
previously with KZ ZS10Pro vs TRN V90, later with KZ ZS10Pro X and TRN ST5, and now KZ ZS10Pro2 with TRN ST7
I think TRN is trying to one up KZ in driver count and undercut the price with TRN ST7.
Thankfully the tuning also works very well.
