I'm really curious about your configuration. How much better has the sound gotten since you pair the Benjie S5/Agptek M20 up with the Topping NX1? 
 
Anyone know the difference between the 1 and 1A? Battery life?

I would say yes, get the x3, more detailed sq than benjie and of course rockbox

Thanks. I should have done that. I bought the Benjie S5 Player and the Topping NX1 Amp instead. Hopefully, I'll be able to buy the XDuoo x3 in the future.
 
The x3 is $125.00 Canadian shipped, and I bought the Benjie and Topping for $80.00 shipped, so the x3 is $45.00 more.
 
Not that money matters... but I was curious about a cheaper option.

These KKTings only cost half of what I paid for the C5 but I much prefer my TFZ 1s on it and they cost the same. Now after your expensive iem comment I'm going to have to listen to my Rockets, D2002 and Phantom Master 4's on it

Why? If used solely as a transport and it does not color or alter the SQ in a negative manner it's just a means to enjoy your music

I have a feeling I'm going to eat my words after I listen to the most expensive headphones I have (AKG 518LE) on my S5. I'll let you know.
 
I just always thought that the quality\price would have to be similar but maybe cheap and expensive products in China can have the same quality. I know in North America, it's the opposite.

The quality to price equation is true but remember it's a steep curve for that last 10%. IMHO you get your best value in upgrading phones over Daps & Dacs, use the ones you like the best for that situation
