What Takstar model is that.....Kogan only for Aussie....meh

Takstar HI2050. Semi open air.

This rig (with Kogan) has absolutely no right to sound the way it does. And what's that, $29 for Kogan, $60 roughly for the HI2050.

I don't care much for Kogan....lol...between Takstar Pro 80 and this HI2050... what are the difference in sound sig....thanks

I've had both PRO80 and HI2050, I like the HI2050 more, seems to have better soundstage and the appearance looks nicer.

I read comments the two headphones use the same driver, but don't take my word for it.

Here, check out the thread sometime: http://www.head-fi.org/t/585356/the-takstar-technical-pro-gemini-greathon-cyberx-qpad-thread

I can tell you they're great headphones for those on a budget, probably the best unless you can source a cheap Goldring DR-150.

DR-150

Honestly they're about the same in detail and separation, the HI2050 sounds a little more airy. A good way to choose between them would be considering how much leakage is going to effect your listening environment. HI2050 leak quite a lot due to being semi open on the other hand PRO80 are closed. HI2050 has velour pads PRO80 doesn't. Lots of members switch the pads out to HM5 pads, seems almost mandatory part of buying the Takstar headphones.

You can't be an audiophile unless you've experienced the Takstar headphones, so I suggest you get busy and buy one for each family member.

I will give you a video to build the hype: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0u4yvN_t-PI

They look like the Kz-ed Special Edition

Or more like the GX-RK with a wooden body, but these are the Rock Jaw Alfa Genus with changeable filters.
