We need to know the sensitivity of your earbuds too. It is actually more important than the impedance sometimes when it comes to drivability.
Next project printing tomorrow, same 13mm biodynamic. Much larger closed volume which hopefully makes it sound more normal
Yinman 600s. ThanksWe need to know the sensitivity of your earbuds too. It is actually more important than the impedance sometimes when it comes to drivability.
Yinman 600s. Thanks
Based on the specs of the Hiby FC4:
3.5mm PO | 4.4mm BAL | |
---|---|---|
Output Level | 1.9Vrms (32Ω) | 3.3Vrms (32Ω) |
Output Power | 110mW (32Ω) | 340mW (32Ω) |
I think even on balanced, it may not be the most optimal for the Yinman 600. You can get get adequate volume no problem, but you might lose dynamics, soundstage and bass tightness. So you might not be doing full justice to the sound IMO.
Not many dongles out there can drive the Yinman 600 well to be frank, I'm mostly stuck using desktop type sources with it.

For the Yinmans, buy an old FiiO A5. That amp is a gem and portable.
@o0genesis0o, I wasn't aware that the Creative worked with an iPhone. Now I'm really bummed that I didn't buy it when it was on sale.
And @Touchowl, I think you are on to something with that shell!

The new earbuds from PISLO. They're called Totem, but make sure not to confuse them with TGXear's Totem. These earbuds are designed to deliver a smooth, warm sound with a deep punchy bass. And guess what? There might even be a true wireless version available!

I saw a prototype of this Pislo Totem at Can Jam Singapore. Unlike the other piezo driver earbuds in their stable, this Totem is a traditional DD.
I was told by their rep it is $400 USD though, still quite an eye watering price for a DD earbud!!

I'm in the market for a pair of Yinman too (they should be paying you guys!). I was initially thinking of going for a K7 (probably still will for ease as an entry level desktop solution) but the NX7 has piqued my interest now. Does anyone have any experience of a DAC (preferably portable) that pairs/stacks well with this? I'm probably going to end up running it via Tidal and local storage on Android through a Qin F21pro (usb c out) or laptop in the office. I've got a Hiby R3 Pro Saber and a FiiO M5 as my dedicated DAPS but these are mainly runarounds before I can invest in something a bit better. I'm hoping to pay for this through the sale of old Pokemon games I found in a cupboard so my budget's going to depend on how well they sell but I'd place it at around £350 for both the dac and amp. Any suggestions or thoughts greatly appreciated! For this price you can get the Topping NX7. Pairs well with the yinman.
If you want something cheap to play around, get the douk audio u3, pairs also good with the yinman.
With Shiit I got no good experience. Had have the magny 2 or 3, but I didn't like it at all

It is possible to order an Edition XS (Hifiman) with that amount...

That look like a really interesting amp at a great price! Very enthusiastic review. (Sorry, I screwed up the formatting in this post.)
Huh, that review is thorough and rather enthusiastic indeed. But I'm not surprised, as there is nothing but universal praise over in the Liquid Spark thread.
I think I'm going to have to get me a pair of the Yinman 600's to enjoy on the Spark!
Hello everyone, the blue EB2S are on sale. After a detailed comparison of the manufacturer's descriptions in its official shop on Ali, I didn't find any differences except for the new cable material (SPC instead of OFC), the new color and the PRO suffix in the name. The technical parameters are the same and no mention of a new driver or at least tuning. I assume therefore that 'BLUE is the new BLACK' or 'PRO is the new ORIGINAL'.

yeah it sure looks like it's just a cable "upgrade".Hello everyone, the blue EB2S are on sale. I'd rather have a detachable cable version

You can use your daps as a source for the nx7. Or just a dongle. It also pairs well with the Topping BC3 as a Bluetooth solution for streaming. Of course every other BT dongle like the btr5 will also work well

Hello! Longtime lurker, budding noob here. Can earhooks be used with flathead earbuds? I'm hoping to pair this short cable with Yincrow RW-3000, but I'm concerned the memory wire hooks make it more appropriate for IEMs. If not ideal, can someone recommend a better short mmcx cable? Thank you.
Edit: Here's a video demonstrating removal of memory wire hooks. h/t @MiMiranda
