Hey folks! I just published a review of the HIFIMAN TWS450: True wireless earbuds with audiophile-grade sound for just $39.
Check out my review to learn more about them.
Does this thread cater to TWS as well?

yesterday wearing my faaeal smow lotus in bed, i found out, that these sennheiserish shells seem to work for me when laying on the side. i know those shells are common for diy, and they are often used in boutique sets. Which buds to look into, that in general lean towards the Yinmen 600ohm sound? No pinna gain excess, no upper mids spike, no treble extension, just on the warm side of old school neutral.

btw, rn listening to the faaeal rosemarys with foams connected to the k11 r2r. think i paid around 200 eur for both. if i could stay away from forums, i might probably be happy with this combo for the rest of my life. dont know, if i would really need more of anything tbh. it is a very dynamic almost explosive set (which i usually dont like) with very refined timbre as it is very sophisticated tuned in the upper mids. stretching those frequenzies far enough for a good amount of realism but not to the point, where it hurts with sibilant tracks. bass is plenty but tasetfully, not bleeding anywhere, very good separation and imaging, as well as a decently sized soundstage on all axis. The driver seems quite fast.
i wish i would have gotten a balanced version tho

edit: me lucky, just bought a 4.4 version from local classifieds
Sounds like a solid combo!, I`m rediscovering my Rosemarys, they were unused for almost 6 months, too boring and dark for my taste, but a month ago, I bought a VE Monk SL bundle with Devastator, they sound ok, but I give a try of the Devastator and the Rosemary on donut foams and Fiio music app, with some EQ relaxing lows and add some spice in the upper region and Wowww! Solid bass, clean, punchy, and addictive. Natural midrange and sparkle. The driver handles a lot of volume without distortion, even with heavy bass tracks. I think I was missing some amplification to bring out the best of these earbuds. The Monk SL sound cheap by comparison.

No, but since the marketers of TWS insist on calling them earbuds, rather than TWS IEMs consumers are all mixed up as to what actual earbuds are. 😁 we get people talking about TWS stuff in here now and again.

Now something like the OG Sony Linkbuds are indeed flatheads, but are also TWS as well.

P.S. at the least if not using the term IEMs, I would say earphones, rather than earbuds. But that is just me. 👍

And, I'm gone...

PS.: Wires are still used internally, even for TWS stuff. Just saying... :smiling_imp:

I really did not enjoy seeing an ad for a TWS review being posted here. Truly revolting.

I got a few things in from my last Aliexpress shopping spree.
Amongst a few other things Trigrain foams and the IBasso DC Elite DAC-dongle.
The Trigrain foams come in a nice colourful selection. They are medium density, possibly in between low and medium, but more medium density I'd say... They seem to be high quality and consistent! Have not tried them yet, so cannot say anything about the comfort/scratchiness of them, but I believe they will be just fine. There where reports that they would bleed color on earbuds, so I put them in warm water with some detergent and kneaded them a bit.
Result: Nothing to worry about, no need to do that. If anyone is thinking about doing that than spare yourseves the effort!
I was expecting the red ones to bleed the most, but surprisingly the orange ones are the only ones where the water washed out the most colour. I consider that to be negligible still.
Those are good quality and cheap. These will be my go to foams from now on if the comfort is good. I'll make custom donuts with hole punches if I need any...
First impressions on the DC Elite later!
EDIT: After putting the foams in between two kitchen towels to push out the water and laying them out to finally dry, I find them to be not too consistent after all! In about 15% of the foams the hole is off center or weird in another way. Still not a problem at all considering the price. The ones not passing my QC are simply going to go into the garbage bin.
EDIT 2: Nah, this is fine. I tried a pair with off centered holes and it's not a problem at all. They are comfy as well and not itchy. Recommended!😊

I use these with no concern to colour issues and what mostly happens - bright colours collect darker spots from storing in leather case, also discolouration because skin contact, but I haven't noticed any painting on earbuds, maybe because i mostly use metal ones
