UM Mage vs ATH-CK100
I thinks it's always in comparison to the CK100: 1.0 is a tie, 1.2 means the Mage is 20% better than CK100 in this category and a 0.8 means the Mage is 20% worse etc.- Paddy855

Unique Melody Mage Review & Appreciation Thread
I believe a good amp with adjustable bass like the LISA III could very well help to tune the Mage's bass to everyone's personal preference in terms of quantity. Portable amps that have good bass per se (RSA, for instance) could also be enough already. (I've heard of a couple of UE11 owners...- Paddy855

I agree with bakhtiar. MaoDi, given your public profile you already have respectable experience with a very broad range of universal and custom IEMs; so why not just writing a few sentences about the Mage's sound signature as it is? The really only distinguished thing I've read about the Mage...- Paddy855

I only so far use the D10 with my Westone 3's and among all the opamps provided stock by iBasso I found that with the AD8656 in LR and LMH6643 as buffers the D10 sounds best with the W3: Extremely fast, tight and articulate throughout the whole spectrum with the mids slightly forward (possibly...- Paddy855

I want to order some new opamps for my D10 from Digi-Key (or is there a better place)? There are so many different part numbers for each opamps, and I have no idea which is the right one for the D10: Do I need the EL8201IS or EL8201ISZ, the AD8397ARDZ or AD8397ARZ, the OPA2228P or OPA2228PA?- Paddy855

Westone ES3X Appreciation Thread
This is so maddening I know... I received my (faulty) ES3X's exactly one week ago and it was #133, so they're manufacturing already about 20 pairs per week at the moment -- perhaps too much for them to give every pair the time and attention it needs.- Paddy855

They look really really nice and well-done, music_4321! I am happy for you that your issues have been solved so quickly and perfectly. This certainly makes me more hopeful that the same happens to me in the near future. In my case, Westone is making a brand new set of ES3X's and they even...- Paddy855

Westone ES3X Appreciation Thread
I picked up my orange ES3X from this morning. I am so upset I am having the same channel imbalance problem two users have already reported here; vocals are slightly coming from north-east in my headstage a.k.a. right monitor is louder than the left one. I compared them with my W3 and they...- Paddy855

I will pick up my ES3X on Monday and have both the P-51 and D10. Larry, I see you use both combinations. Do you have a preference between the P-51 and D10 with the ES3X?- Paddy855

I received my D10 two days ago. Have been listening through its USB DAC so far. Now I wanted to try out the white optical/digital cable that came with the amp, but I haven't been able to figure out how I can plug it into the optical input on the back plate of the D10. The little hole in this...- Paddy855

Blackberry Bold headphone out SQ? Any measurements?
I have a Blackberry Bold and really LOVE its headphone out with my pair of Westone 3. Very, very clear and resolved throughout the whole spectrum. Wiiide soundstage and tight bass. I also have the iTouch --> ALO SXC --> P-51 --> W3 combo and that really sounds veiled and dark in direct...- Paddy855

Westone 3 Impressions Thread
Everyone who has a Blackberry Bold should try out the W3 with the headphone jack of the Bold. I don't really believe my ears yet, but the W3 & Bold sounds definitely cleaner, clearer, "tighter" than my iTouch --> ALO SXC Cryo LOD --> P-51 --> W3 combo right now . . .- Paddy855
