Sadly I can't demo EE's stuff in Malaysia, only when I visit Singapore.

Hero certainly looks interesting at it's price point though.

It will certainly be nice to have some more options at that price point but Hero's description (4 driver balanced BA/DD hybrid) sounds exactly like what I have right now which doesn't really interest me personally but Odin is poised, alongside something like the Thummim, to be the summit-fi IEM I eventually sell off everything I have to obtain. Looking forward to hearing more about it once the glow of the release hype dies down.

It’s configuration is exactly why I’m interested. I want to know how it compares to the Solaris.

For the Odin, yeah so far everyone has been giving them glowing reviews but the Thum has the same drivers and I’m very satisfied with them already.

If you’re able to demo them and like them why not? As you’ve said you’re a single iem guy

I also can’t wait for some impressions of Thummim vs Odin.

anyone recommend warm/slightly dark iem? had/have qdc vx, z1r but sort of feel the highs are a bit too much to me, my preference would be mid(vocals) > bass ≫ treble

Aurisonics ASG-2

I’ll demo when I get the chance to...sadly I don’t know when that might be. I’m a single man yes, but with some other hobbies that need attention. I’ve adopted a “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” attitude around my gear...as long as I’m happy with what I have I won’t be looking elsewhere on a similar tier...my next big purchase will be on a different level of performance than what I have now (Odin, Thummim, etc)

The Ara is pretty good but is still outdone by the 2020 Andro imo. I need to post a for trade on the classifieds

Update:

1. Empire Ears Odin
2. 64 Audio U12T
3. Sony Z1R
4. Hidition Viento-B
5. Shure KSE1200
6. Campfire Andromeda MW10
7. Audeze LCDi4
8. QDC Anole VX
9. Campfire Andromeda 2020
10. Sony M9

Don't even own it, but recently demo'd the Empire Ears Odin and I think it's the best IEM I've demo'd so far. There's really no replacement for DD bass and the Odin's DD bass is some of the best there is (although I do like the Z1R's bass better), however, despite being a Tri-brid, Odin's coherency is off the charts which I never see w/ other hybrids (including Z1R which is about 90% there, but I still here some). Staging of the Odin is also very spherical, 3D like and feels immersive. I obviously don't have the budget for it, but given a scenario where I can pick any IEM and cannot resell it, I'd probably pick the Odin giving the combination of SQ, comfort/fit and X-factor. Can read more of my impressions here: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/emp...merly-earwerkz.786335/page-1607#post-15819951

Still need to try the UM MEST and 64 Audio Nio though which I hope to soon. I suspect they might make it on the list, likely knocking off the M9 or 2020, but we'll see.
