thanks, it's a Fiio X1 II, Fiio Q1 amp an Tennmak Pro

Do you carry that around? The combination of the player and amp is over 7 ounces! Even just the X1 itself is uncomfortable for me to carry around.

Considering the Fiio X3II is now around the 180$, the leather case another 10$, and the KZ EDSE is around 4$, this is now budget-fi! :)

What is your opinion on those iems?
I've been curious for a a while but I went for the 8320's both times.
Thanks in advance.

They're exceptional for the price (around 4USD). Great definition, a little V-shaped signature, somewhat bright but with good upper-bass control. Very well build and comfortable. Not my favourite KZs, but they do the job. You can't go wrong with most KZs on the market, except for the HDS1 (dull, veiled, uninteresting), HDS2 (don't let them fool you - they're not yamaha clones), and the ED12 (absolute crap). I believe the 8320 are better (never had those, but based on impressions). If you want a better KZ, go for the ZS3, the ATR, the ED9.

Nice set! It's incredible what you can get nowadays for such a small amount of money. Just 7 or 8 years ago, this kind of sound quality you can get with the X3ii and the ED9 only, would not be possible for less than 500$ or so...
Last week I had the opportunity of reuniting my first "audiophyle" portable set, from 2008-09, the great Sansa Fuse and the astonishing Radiopaq Jazz, still at a budget, and they sound so far away from today's options...

Yep, I think great strides have been made in the last 4 years and IMO part of that is driven by the Chinese explosion into DIY and start ups
