Pictures of Your *Budget-Fi* Portable Rig (< $200)

Ultimate budget combo?

Fuze (4 GB) = $15 Craiglist find, a few scratches but works perfectly
Awei ES800M = $8 -see the Chinese manufacturer thread, these things sound awesome
8 GB memory card = $7
Rockbox = free

If you're talking about pure price-to-value ratio, it's hard to imagine you could do any better.

Haha marko I knew you'd comment :p

The S400s are my primary portable cans now. I've set up the SRH440 on my desktop. I'm liking them both actually. Sometimes the Shure SRH440s leave me wanting a bit more bass so I switch to S400s, but when I yearn details and tight bass, I revert to the SRH440s. The S400s are more of a 'fun' sounding. And it being very light and portable, I can't see myself lugging around the heavy SRH440 anymore around the house.

lol I try to, I'm hoping I can get some Beyers to replace the Shures later this year. But I love portable cans like the S400 too!

And haha thanks, I'm still quite an amateur with DSLRs but I'm learning :)
DT880's or are you going higher up the food chain?

Your pictures are excellent sir!

Umm, a friend of mine has DT990 Pro 250 ohms. We were talking yesterday about future upgrades and he told me he was gonna get a Hifiman HE400 later this year, and if he sells the Beyers, I'd be the first call. So yeah, I can hope for it.

And thank you :D really means a lot to hear from you guys!

I can imagine you being content with the Beyers, what amp will you be running it off if all goes to plan?

You're only learning? D:
Woah, for a "learner" you have some serious talent

Agreement!

I like the contrasting light and how it reflects off the logo.

Simple, but appreciated.

+1

I agree. :)

PS: @RochRx7 turn your rotary goodness into this junkyard beast.
