Has anybody tried Lavender Sound's earbuds? Shizen or Neo Carbon?

Congrats! Let us know how you like the DX7 once it arrives :)
Thanks, bro.

The Fiio Q15 at $351 was too good of a deal to let it pass. I got a $10 discount from the store and $50 from the AliExpress deal; both codes brought down the price to $318.31, including taxes. I also bought a second Yinman, since I liked it very much; I think I'm done with just these two and the DX7.

Thank you for taking time to answer all those questions...
I'll definitely order them tomorrow! (Now it's time to go to bed here)
Not really worried about the lack of warmth, as i find myself drawn to brighter signatures lately.
One song you could check is "The September of my life" from Frank Sinatra's Life at the Sands Album. It is not necessary though, as I've made up my mind to get the DB1E now. 😊
I regularly use this song in my earbuds check playlist.
Does the space of the venue feel realistic? Frank's voice shouldn't sound "chesty", but come from the belly, and how is the timbre? There are wind instruments. Timbre? And most importantly, how realistic does the applause at the end of the song sound? This is especially curious, as most of my earbuds fail there, and it often suddenly takes me back and I think "whaaaat I wasn't really there?!?" That's frustrating, when it happens...
Apologies for not posting this sooner, I ran out of steam on the day I wrote this and then I had horrible ear pain the next day due to a health problem flare up. I'm not happy with this post but I wanted to reply back to you in a somewhat timely fashion since you're thinking about ordering them soon. So please keep this in mind and take any of my impressions with an extra grain or two of salt.

Original post:
No problem, I hope you enjoy them and that my descriptions match how they sound for you. I've been leaning that way as well especially since my hearing has been better lately.

I haven't heard that song before and I'm not an expert on terminology so take all of my opinions with a grain of salt. At first I thought it was a medium sized room which doesn't quite match up with the pictures I found but that's likely due to the lower ceiling and how tightly packed the orchestra would've been. To my ears it definitely sounds like his voice comes from the belly for the lower notes and feels warm and smooth with decent airiness. There is a slight lack of the lowest bass register in his voice compared to the X3 but you lose the airiness from the DB1E so it feels flatter. All of the instruments have good positioning and staging (I'm guessing the mic was at the front of the stage facing backward rather than pointed toward the stage). Some of the horns can overpower his voice a little at certain sections but not to the point where it sounds off and nothing stands out as sounding incorrect. The applause sounds pretty realistic with multiple distinct points of clapping and pinpointable whistling, the X3 was much more compressed and didn't have the distinct points so it would've been pretty disappointing in that regard. Listening to older music really makes you realize how enclosed and narrow a lot of modern music sounds, I might have to expand my horizons a little...

It's lacking a little warmth but definitely doesn't have a lighter note weight or cold sound as the other thing I love about it is how incredible instruments sound through the DB1E. While I never played an instrument in high school as I was in choir I have been around instruments in person enough to know when they don't sound quite right and I've never had that feeling with the DB1E. As far as vocals go most of the music I listen to focuses on female vocals or male tenors but I listened to a couple of songs with male bass or baritones and didn't feel like they were lacking in any aspect. But if you have any specific songs that would be very obvious if the DB1E is struggling with male vocals I could give them a listen and see what I think.

That's one thing I've noticed across all of the earbuds I've tried, the only one that was an exception was the Yinman 600 but it still isn't on the same level as the DB1E. There's definitely an adjustment period when you switch in either direction and I've been trying to be more mindful of that when giving my opinions on earbuds. But with the DB1E there's just enough bass that even with less aggressive software EQ and no hardware EQ I haven't missed it that much. I have enough earbuds that fall into the warmer category that still do an ok job at vocals that I can scratch that itch if it appears. Tuning earbuds is definitely much harder than IEMs since you don't have the benefit of a good seal and you can't just swap out different drivers to achieve the sound you want. The dual driver earbuds have piqued my interest as they're attempting to solve this issue but I don't think any of them have perfected the setup or formula yet.
I don't think anyone has ever done a DB1E vs DB1 comparison. It would be interesting to know how they sound against each other.

Re:Serrautus… the Red Serratus is available through Penon…if that’s the iteration you’re looking for.

Cheers
Yep I had seen that, not sure about whether I want to spend that much money on an earbud in an MX500 shell as I haven't had the best fit with them. I need to see if some earclips that are made for AirPods will work with the stem of an MX500 shell or not and see if that solves my issues.

Can someone who has had both Yinman 600 and Simphonio D3 do a comparison between the two? I'm gonna pull the trigger on either one of these.
$700 DOLLARS for an earbud!?

Yeah, I'm quitting and getting out of the rabbit hole.

So I got today this blue driver 32 ohms
It says PET not LCP

https://a.aliexpress.com/_mq6w5fm

And so it's quite different from LCP / titanium / wool / CNT (carbon nano tube) in the same shells

Softer bass and somewhat surreal separation of the crisp
