I own both and I think I prefer the X6 but would be just as happy with either. In general, people who like Yincrow X6 will like rw-9 more, I think.

so true... very hard to get my FF3's out of my ears. =)Mine broke a long time ago, but I really liked them. Found them on ali express just now with a "welcome deal" (since I hadn't been on there for a long time), which saved me 57%, and which I really welcomed! Thought about using the "welcome deal" on something that would save me hundreds of dollars, but I resisted. I'm looking forward to getting the RW-9's again. It might be good to pry the FF3's out of my ears now and then lol.
While I love the (or used to love? been so long) the RW-9. I think the FF3 are amazing. Probably the only non-txear earbuds I listen to without EQ -- the FF3's come out of the box ready to play. The only nitpicky thing I'd point out is the lack of energy in most of the brilliance range. But at my age this doesn't bother me too much, but if I get super critical with my listening that's the only thing missing.

I would like to share my own impression of Yincrow X6. I used these earbuds at the same time as VE Monk Plus, Faaeal Snow Lotus and Fengru EMX500. In this series, the earbuds stood out with a strong emphasis on bass, for example, on The Sisters Of Mercy track "Poison Door", the drums in the refrain were simply deafening. When I bought the RW-9, I would have rated them 5 points compared to the X6, which I would have given only 3. These are good detailed earbuds with high-quality bass that is not excessive. Their disadvantage is a simple cable, which also hardens in the cold. And yet, two of my X6s had a cable break near the plug.
I prefer RW9 over X6. Slightly more refined

I agree about the cable in the cold (and it became that way simply after having them a long time). But having a pogo stick in a cable came in kinda handy at times!
That is fantastic to hear. Even their flagship uses Nutubes at this point... I can only bet that all the makers are focusing on trying to bring out a new product with actual valve tubes (or very nearly compared to the LED tubes). Competition in the marketplace is good. It's using 2 sub-miniature pentodes, the JAN6418, which are also in their N3Pro DAP, but with a much better amplifier design. The N3Pro was only able to have tube timbre from the 3.5mmSE output, the 4.4mmBal was SS. The N3Ultra has tube timbre and SS out of both 3.5 and 4.4. Since it only has 2 tubes, the tube amp section is only SE, and Cayin admits they are doing some circuit magic with the 4.4 output.
They're taking DAC balanced signal, converting to SE, passing it thru the tube amp (R & L channels) and reconverting SE back to balanced 4.4. The 4.4 SS signal path is fully balanced from DAC thru output amp to the 4.4 jack. Final output power is 3.5SE @ 250mW / 32Ω and 4.4Bal @ 600mW / 32Ω. While not like top tier DAPs that have Nutubes (iBasso 300 / 320 or Cayin N8ii) in output power, the N3Ultra should have no problem driving the Yinman 600 for at least a pleasureable tube timbre listening experience.
Yeah, that is how iBasso is doing it with their 4.4mm x 2 only Nutube card (the other one is 3.5mm SE x 2 only), 2-into-1-into-2 if you want to look at it that way. I, for one find the implementation fantastic. I really don't have a problem with SE at all. It is just that cheaper (or more lazy) companies just don't implement it (as) well. Companies like Cayin, iBasso, FiiO, etc... take the extra effort, and you can only really tell the difference in the amount of driving power it has/has not.
With iBasso's Amp 13 Nutube card (3.5mm x2 SE only) one is making 250mw @32ohms, and the other is only making 500mW @32ohms (which, now that I think about it, is really good from a portable 3.5mm SE jack ). So, for a tube amp, this Cayin DAP is making some pretty darn good power. I would be proud to own it. Good choice for sure.

wait, what?!? there's a new model out? I really can't get another earbud. I have way too many. grrrrrrThe FF3 is heavier in weight due to its steel exterior (it weights double of the FF3S). Thus, the former's build seems more robust but it can cause fatigue in the ears with longer sessions, compared to the lighter FF3S.
Both the FF3 and FF3S generally share the same DNA in being bassy and warm buds, but the original FF3 is even bassier but less resolving, losing in technicalities and treble extension. For folks who found the first FF3's bass to be intrusive, the FF3S tones it down slightly here, thus allowing the rest of the frequencies to breathe more. I'm not a bona fide basshead, so I do prefer the FF3S's more versatile AKA balanced sound signature in a way.
The original FF3 has a non-detachable cable, though it also has modular plugs (albeit one can argue that having a proprietary detachable cable in the FF3S isn't a true improvement in this department).

Yeah the FF3S came out earlier this year. Sidegradish/marginal upgrade IMHO, you don't really need to get the FF3S unless you want something a tinge more resolving with less bass (ie a bit more balanced but still warm and bassy).

thanks for the quick info... good to see familiar names still active as ever!Yeah the FF3S came out earlier this year. Yep, as @baskingshark mentioned there is the FF3S, but there is also the budget model of the FF1 as well. Both of them have detachable cables as well. BUT... don't get your hopes up TOO much because they use a proprietary FiiO only cable... I suppose one could find a positive in this, insomuch as at least you won't have to buy a brand new set if you destroy the cable. For myself, I am not overly fond of the idea of a proprietary cable.wait, what?!? there's a new model out? I really can't get another earbud. I have way too many. grrrrrr

Has anyone on here gotten around to trying the Shozy Cygnus Makes yet? As someone who likes the BKs and only got rid of the OG Cygnus because I had buds that I thought were similar in sound/tuning, but outperformed them otherwise, I have been wondering how they did with the Mk2s. The OG Cygnus are a cool pair of buds and I actually enjoyed them while I had them. If the Most are a true step up, especially in the technical performance category, I'd definitely have to give some thought about buying a pair to hear for myself.
If anyone has tried them and can give me/us some impressions I'd be eternally grateful. As a matter of fact, if anyone has even heard anything about their performance via word of mouth from someone who has heard them I'd be interested in hearing about that too. Thanks in advance!

@mt877 BTW! A little OT but related as I am interested in the best sound I can get (for my buds). Have you done much tube rolling with the E88CC, ECC88, 7308, or 6922 family of tubes (all same family, just oldest to newest design)? iFi claims that there are really only two tubes that are better than the GE5670 (in the iCan Sig) which they quote as being Bendix 6N3 or WE396A. Other forums site something like the Electro-Harmonix 6922EH (Russian made) as being the best. I really don't know unless I buy and roll, but I don't want to waste any money that I don't need to (not looking to start a tube collection). I am happy with what is in there now, but I am just curious.
I am used to using the Korg Nutube 6P1 dual triode tube module, which is great but there is no "rolling" with this as it is really the only best choice for this type of tube. This means that I am pretty new to tubes and thinking about what might be best/worst etc... (I am just not in the know yet, though I am researching/learning as much about it as my small brain can absorb.
Any thoughts from you (or anyone else in the know) would be absorbed and appreciated very much. Thank you very much.
TUBE AMPS ROCK! Cept' when this happens....
Edit: I guess I was wrong insomuch as those I listed in the family of 6922 being the same other than in design... Their specs/capabilities are a bit different as well (as seen on this table):

I don't have experience with the ifi, but in my experience with two past hybrid tube amps that used the 5670 style tubes and their analogs, the GE5670s were always my choice even above the WE396A which is also a very nice tube. As for Electro-Harmonix, their tubes have always been average at best (and sometimes downright terrible) when I have tried them in various amps so I wouldn't recommend them.
That said, tube rolling is always fun and much like anything else that affects the sound of a particular rig, it comes down to personal choice so identifying a few good options and giving them a whirl is the way to go, IMO. The mil spec GE JAN 5670W and Wester Electric WE396A are the two tubes in that family (5670, 396A, 2C51, etc) that stand out above the rest, IMO/IME so I'd definitely encourage you to include those tubes in any rolling experiment you do with your new amp.
P.S. I'm glad you caught that 6922/ECC88/6DJ8 is not compatible with 5670 (at least not directly).
