Temperament DB1 and TMusic HB1 are totally different earbuds. No need, this has already been posted here by @mt877a week ago.
To quote ClieOS from his review of the RW-3000: "The true upgrade is however really in its heart – with a new dynamic driver with 4 layers fused high molecule diaphragm."It's going to be difficult to guess polymers based purely on eye inspection, unless the driver is a clear match to an off the shelf option
It's great that everyone is jumping on this RW-3000 teardown, but nobody gives Yincrow any credit for their R&D of designing their unique titanium-aluminum alloy shell or developing their own driver. So what if an OEM company manufactured the driver to Yincrow's specification. That sort of thing happens in many products all over the world. Mistakes happen in manufacturing, it's not like a company specifically targets one individual to be sure they get a marginalized product. For all the excitement about this single event, Yincrow RW series products are still top of the line in sound quality. I won't be throwing away my sets of Yincrow RW series earbuds any time soon.
But if it's being sold on Ali, this raises questions if it is really their product.designing their unique titanium-aluminum alloy shell
Ups, my bad...Temperament DB1
You might notice the shells of those cheap buds are factory rejects that were probably picked up at a reduced cost or possibly some cheap copy shells. I can't see the full product page on AE anymore, just a short glimpse of the earbuds before a 404 webpage loading error occurs, but I've seen that earbud listed before and I thought the shell vents on the right and left buds are in different positions, so they don't match. Someone said they bought those earbuds, they can take a picture and confirm what I'm talking about. I could be dead wrong, but I thought I saw at least one picture of the vents not matching on those shells. But if it's being sold on Ali, this raises questions if it is really their product.
I tried to follow back but cannot find any reference to DB1 in this series of quotes, but I'm very interested in everything DB1Temperament DB1 and TMusic HB1 are totally different earbuds.
as far as I see, the location of the vents look the same as on those of RW-3000.I've seen that earbud listed before and I thought the shell vents on the right and left buds are in different positions, so they don't match.
EDIT: I am wrong here 100%
agree, they don't look as neat as the originals. Also, the shade is a darker and the cap is made of plastic.possibly some cheap copy shells.

Maybe I should find a way to open my old DB1 somehowas this is very interesting
Haha, you don’t remember your own post?I tried to follow back but cannot find any reference to DB1 in this series of quotes, but I'm very interested in everything DB1
The vents on the RW3k are on top, not as positioned on that cheap copy bud (that is right side bud), and I believe the left side bud of that cheap set has the vent in a totally different position than the right side bud, don’t match each other.as far as I see, the location of the vents look the same as on those of RW-3000.
Yeah, it’s just a cheap copy bud.agree, they don't look as neat as the originals. Also, the shade is a darker and the cap is made of plastic.
Haha I don't see it related to the quote I was commenting on.Haha, you don’t remember your own post?
Is it just frenzy of tearing down various models now?
Anyway opening DB1 looks not easy.
And heating it might mean permanent damage to driver magnet, but it's already off, so maybe it's the only way...
@tOMZY replied to your post (just above his post) but he didn’t quote you, instead he quoted my post of TMusic HB1 to show you it had been done already… mistaking HB1 with your DB1 thinking you don’t have to open the shell because I already did it. Make more sense now?Haha I don't see it related to the quote I was commenting on.

Finally got the HB1s I ordered from Aliexpress, they seem promising but a bit veiled or stuffy with the pack-in full foams. Think I'll have to try donut foams for these. You guys have any other online stores for the foams than Aliexpress, something that ships to Europe? Stuff takes like a month to get here from AE and I'm impatient lol.
Great detective work right here ^

I hadn't noticed that while reading through his posts, thanks for pointing that out as that would explain why he wasn't as bothered by its tuning compared to others that have listened to it. If only we could all be as unbothered by that frequency range as he is...While @JAnonymous5150 has a very good ear for all things earbuds, keep in mind that he is almost invulnerable to a boosted upper mids/lower treble as well. So, I can definitely believe that the Dendroaspis Virdis (technical name for the Green Mamba) are a great set overall.
Edit: Are you talking about the original Apple earbuds or the newer EarPods with a semi in-ear design? I'm assuming you're talking about the latter and not the former.Good morning, everyone. Sorry for the interruption.
Could you recommend 3–4 earbuds in the AirPods style (like the old wired ones, not the wireless Pro version — so not in-ear, I believe they’re called flathead?) with the best possible positional sound, that include a microphone and are compatible with the Xbox Series X controller?
I’d use them for gaming, so imaging and soundstage are probably the most important aspects.
Any suggestions?
And maybe (to go a bit down the rabbit hole), are there any flathead-style earbuds with detachable cables — along with a brand and cable type that includes a microphone and is compatible with Xbox?
Please no adapters — I’d like to keep everything as lightweight as possible.
I’d be really grateful!
There aren't a lot of semi in-ear flatheads to choose from, and most of them haven't been nearly as highly reviewed as most of the flatheads that sit outside of your ear. Part of the reason why flatheads have a larger, more open sound stage than IEMs is due to the lack of seal and increased distance from the driver to your ear drum so I'm not sure if the same effect can be achieved with a partial seal. The only one that I've had experience with apart from Apple's wired EarPods is S€nf€er's PT21 which you could add a mic to with an aftermarket cable since it has a removable cable with MMCX connectors. But as you can see by how I had to spell the company's name they're not the most trustworthy brand and for the price the sound quality is pretty bad so I can't really recommend them. Fidue's Thunder is another semi in-ear option but it's very expensive ($400!) and it's very hard to trust the positive reviews of it due to Penon's underhanded marketing tactics so I can't recommend it for that reason alone. Would you be willing to try a cheaper pair of standard flatheads to see how they fit even if they're not a semi in-ear design? There are a lot of things you can try to make them more comfortable to wear over a longer period of time if that's the reason why you were gravitating towards semi in-ears.
There are several 13.5mm drivers that aren't just for IEMs in addition to the one used in the Aeolian buds so it's not impossible but there are also just as many that can only be used in IEMs due to their very low volume levels. Figuring out what the driver is designed to be used in is difficult without buying them and installing them into a shell, ask me how I knowIf it is really a 13,5 mm driver it might be using an IEM driver. Hence the special tuning here?
I don't think there's anything special about that size of driver other than it being a rarity to see an earbud with that small of a driver due to the reduced amount of bass these smaller drivers tend to have and the lack of shell options compared to larger drivers. At least for all of the dynamic drivers I've found the ones that could only be used for IEMs actually tended to be thinner likely due to using a smaller magnet since not as much power is required to reach sufficient volume levels in an IEM. But I've also seen thicker drivers in clear-shelled IEMs though those usually tended to be even smaller than 13.5mm so it's not impossible there's a thicker one that I missed. Is 13.5mm driver that special?
Also, I think IEM drivers are typically thicker than earbud driver, don't think one can fit given the tapered shape of the shell.

Oh right, good point lmao. Somehow this thought never even occurred to me, I'll have to give it a try later.
