Earbuds Round-Up

For the money I think the FF1 are probably the best sound you will get with an inline mic (AFAIK). I am sure there plenty of others out there, but I am not sure I would call them better or not.

Having said that, you could order something with a replaceable cable (i.e. Yincrow RW2000, RW3000, etc..) that you simply need to buy a cheap cable online (that has a mic), and replace the stock cable with. :)
Thanks for the reply, I’ve been seeing a lot hype around the yincrow RW2000/3000 but $150-$300 is a little steep IMO for earbuds but I’m willing to fall down this rabbit hole.

Do you recommend any specific cables with in line mics?

Keep an eye on them during the 11.11 sale coming up. During the last big sale, I picked up the 2000 for $98 and the 3000 for $170. Maybe still not cheap, but much better.

You are welcome!

I don't have any recommendations off the top of my head because all the buds I have, the stock cables are really good. Yincrow buds have one of the best stock cables in the business (IMHO), though no mic....

But, I did find this one that fits the bill, as long as you are looking for straight down cable as well. I just don't know how good/bad it might be. But as cheap as it is, who knows, right??? :)

Hi to all.
Please need advice - for heavy music better EM5 or Yinman 600? Focus on quality of bass (not quantity) and scene.
Thank you.

What source are you using BTW? Not many portable sources can do the Yinman 600 ohm justice (87 dB/mW sensitivity and 600 ohm impedance).

When driven well, it is one of the best buds in my collection, but if underpowered, the soundstage is compressed, dynamics are lacking and the bass is flabby and one-noted.

NiceHCK Store had it on sale for $191.52, then 3 different promo codes (or coins, maybe) knocked it down to $170.

I will be anxiously waiting for your impression. Can you perhaps write down your impressions of all of them (except Sun Copper) in comparison with the Sun Copper, please? I have it, and it will make it easier for me to perceive the others.
I will come back with some, for some reason I got way to much at the same time here. 3 IEMs for review, 3 IEMs for tour and testing. And the 4 VE buds. Then got hit by a flu earlier this week. Bad timing on it all, but now I'm better. So far I have only used Zen SU and APWS, of the two I preffer the Zen SU for its more full and dynamic sound. While its hard to beat the mids on APWS, it can be to bright on some music.

Apws is definitely genre specific specialist.

I’ll get my Zen SU next week! Can’t wait for it. May I ask what you have used to drive both VE buds?

Also, I’m glad you’re feeling better Leonard, we need you here 🤗

Amp Topping A90 Discrete and some with Feliks Audio Echo.

As for source HIBY R6 Pro II.

APWS is really lovely with the correct music, will be fun hearing what you think on SU also.

If you get the chance, could you please compare P2 to the Yincrow sets?
will do. Haven’t listen to Yincrow for a while. Might worth a revisit.
