Was this fake? product no longer there

My Moondrop Chaconne's left channel just died. Is there any new TOTL earbud?
Product is still up. If the link doesn't work for you, you can search it manually at Yaoyaotiger HIFI Audio Store.

Sorry to hear about your Chaconne. Mine is still going strong (knock on wood!). Having inseparable cable is annoying, I assume your issue is likely due to the cable.

Ksearphone DBX is a totl earbud that was released recently.

I would agree about it probably being the cable. I have an imbalance in mine from right to left, and there are "rust" colored spots on one side of the cable in several places. My thought is (at least for mine) that there were impurities introduced. Though it certainly could be something else. :)

These past few months I've had fun tinkering with my diy earbuds using the 32 red dot and 150 blue glue drivers. The 150bg have seen the most usage, since I find them to be more detailed and overall better than the 32 red dot. It's been a pretty enjoyable experience. I'm sure my humble 150bg drivers are nowhere near the ToTL buds from DIY'ers that know what they're doing or from established companies, but there's something nice about using something you've put together yourself.

Now I've been going through the older posts here because, as is typical in this hobby I suppose, I want to try something different. And it seems the 80ohm LCP's from NSC (aliexpress.com/item/1005004259413385.html) have gotten some good reviews here. Is there anyone here who has heard both those and the 150gb who could describe how they compare to eachother?
I've also seen these drivers that are also 80ohm LCP, but from a different company: aliexpress.com/item/1005004966225519.html

If anyone has some recommendations for other drivers (or earbuds), I'm all ears. I'm really looking for something that is a bit generalist. Something that you can throw any genre at and have sound good. Only real requirement is that it can run from a usb-c dongle, so no 300-600ohm high impedance beasts. I'd like to try my hand at using some mmcx shells like these for 2-3 earbuds, to switch things up a little from all the mx500 shells I have:

My TGX Ripples has been sidelined after aquiring Sunniva & Totem. Found a new love for it paired with the Sony ZX707.

It pairs exceptionally with the Sony House sony sound. Ripple has an aggressive characteristic to its upper mids. That area is smoothed over creating more euphonic vocals. The Brise Tsuranagi amplifier takes that one step further giving it better dynamics, staging and more transparency. Loving the balance of tonal fluidity and grippy textured transients for classical.

Better ask on DIY Earbuds thread.
BTW... skip the 80 lcp drivers from NCS

Hoping for the best! Still can't find the Maria Pro on search, maybe it's not available in Germany.

Thank you for the DBX hint, it looks really impressive, but with a big shell... Are there any reviews you're aware of? (maybe in Chinese or so)

Ah, I apologize. I had sorta forgotten that DIY has a seperate thread.
Oh dear, is the 80 lcp from NCS bad in some way? I recall reading in this thread that one or two people were rather pleased with it, but maybe I'm misremembering.

Hi!

What are the best budget earbuds right now?
I am thinking that the Yincrow X6 are STILL the bud to beat in the budget arena, though YMMV. :)

I'm behind as usual and catching up, so this topic is probably a done deal. But I am also thinking the Yincrow X6 is the best budget bud. Approx 4 months back my bed time PK shell buds broke, so I just grabbed what I had in the drawer. They were the X6's with larger shells, so it was only supposed to be a temporary fix. But I was reminded about how good they sound, and I was happy to hear some bass again (even without foams) while listening to trance at night, so they have turned into my permanent fix!

I don't know how they are in metalic shells but on MX500 they are too bright for me
Edit: but 120 and 300 lcp are good

That's probably the ready-made 'DIY' buds from NSC, which are actually pretty good. I have no idea what the drivers sound like in other shells.

Which ones are those?
Rikubuds Grand Berserker 2
Venture Electronics Asura 3.0 and Zen 3.0

Can sit down one day and write a comparison on them 😄 Asura 3.0 might be to bright for many, but find it really natural sounding on orchestral works. ZEN 3 is also on the bright side but the warmth in the Bass and mids make it more balanced and euphonic.

Berserker 2 is much more L shaped, very different 😅
