Vaio Pocket crash
Last night I was listening to my VP and it stopped playing right in the middle of a song, although the song time kept incrementing. I tried to play a different song and it froze up, not responding to any buttons on the keypad. I tried to turn it off and the screen read 'Switching power off...'...- sedminusn

Bloc Party
Listening to this right now...it's quite good. I'll stick to my statement about the original being better, but this thing comes pretty damn close on overall listening enjoyment. It's also very refreshing to hear different takes on songs that I've already listened to numerous times. Definitely... -

That 1 Guy
This guy opened for a show I saw about a year ago, and he was truly amazing. I was blown away by the apparatus that he used and all of the sounds he was making simultaneously with it. Overall, it made for a very entertaining show. In fact, I was more entertainted by this guy than the main show. -

USB DAC/sound card - bypass kmixer on foobar2000
Specifically which card are you wanting to use ASIO with? I know in a previous thread you mentioned that you had the Waveterminal u24. If that's the case then that card comes packaged with an ASIO driver or you can download one off of the Egosys website. Edit: you'll also need the foobar200...- sedminusn

Which is the song that you are the most ashamed of liking?
I love this thread. I always wanted to start a thread like this, but I was too ashamed to even get it going. Here goes: Journey - Don't Stop Believing Kelis - Milkshake John Parr - St. Elmo's Fire Celine Dion - Dans Un Autre Monde Shakira - Whenever, Wherever Anything by Ace of Base... -

Question for u24 owners
I just received my u24 yesterday and it seems like the USB connection on the unit itself is very flakey and unstable. If the unit is bothered at all, it will lose USB connectivity. For example, I can just barely tap the top of the cable or the unit itself and it will lose connectivity. Does this...- sedminusn

Windows "Digital CD Playback"
I'm right in the middle of ripping/encoding my collection, and I just ran across something curious. One of the CDs that I was trying to rip was copy protected and when I would put it in the CD-ROM drive, it would autoplay some program that wanted to download a "digital key" to allow me access to...- sedminusn

Ten CDs to Introduce New Listeners to Classical Music
Yes, this is very useful indeed. I've always kind of been intimidated by the vast expanse that is classical music and could never really find a good jumping off point. This'll give me a great place to start. -

upgrade time: Headphile DT770 or RS-2??
I think this is a difficult question because both of the headphones you have listed are rather obscure and it would be rare to find someone that has listened to both. As an owner of the RS-2, I can say that I don't think they are worth the $500. You probably would have 90% of the sound with the...- sedminusn

DT770 bass from an open can?
Just out of curiousity: why the open requirement? Based on your original post, I have a suspicion that you're not going to get as much bass as you're are looking for in an open can.- sedminusn

Great jazz albums NOT by all-time jazz giants
Ooh, I like this jazz guitar twist. I'll add to it "Mark Whitfield - 7th Ave. Stroll" This was a great idea for a thread, BTW.
