SONY NWZ-A10 Series
Hey I had no idea FF/REW went faster when song was paused . Sony trying to be a little sneaky there . Also, I found out that sleep timer is actually not what I meant. I believe this feature turns the device off regardless of play/pause? I guess what I want is a power off timer, which sets...- zeitfliesst

SONY NWZ-A10 Series
(Originally posted on http://community.sony.com/) I have been using the NWZ-A17 for a couple days now and although I am pretty satisfied with the player, I found it to be lacking certain features that would make it even better. 1. Album Shuffle As I have commented in another thread, it...- zeitfliesst

Sennheiser Amperior Impressions Thread
Just received the Oyaide cables. After wrestling with them for a while, I got them installed and it's looking and sounding good. At first I didn't realize that the connectors had a "hot" side and a "cold" side so at first I tried to force them in the other way and then realized that it was the...- zeitfliesst

Sennheiser Amperior Impressions Thread
Hey guys don't feel so bad about being ripped off, I bought them for $200 on eBay and the day they arrived on my doorstep they went on sale at Bestbuy for $139 and then went further down to $119. $80 instantly went down the drain, but I'm still happy with the phones. By the way, I received...- zeitfliesst

Sennheiser Amperior Impressions Thread
I also wouldn't agree in saying that the Amperior has good soundstage. Instead, I do believe that they have good sense of imaging and instrument separation.- zeitfliesst

Sennheiser Amperior Impressions Thread
I think the Amperior also scales up pretty well with an amp. When comparing between the Amperior connected to my Ipod Classic and to my Fiio E10, sound is obviously better on the E10. When paired with the Ipod Classic, the sound is kind of congested and lacking depth. Or maybe the Ipod...- zeitfliesst

Sennheiser Amperior Impressions Thread
I just noticed that the following was mentioned in the Amperior's Amazon page: "Remember to let these headphones burn in – this will allow the headphones to relax into their sound signature." Is this an official statement from Sennheiser? I recently did a brief comparison between a used and a...- zeitfliesst

Westone Introduces the ES60 - 6BA Custom In Ear
Don't get your rationale behind that claim. It's not like Westone stopped carrying their entry-level custom models such as the ES10, 20, 30, 50, let alone their universal models. If you can't afford $5000 IEM's then simply buy the $100 IEM or whatever costing IEM that you can afford that is...- zeitfliesst

Westone ES5
Just got the Cadence Cable. I'm not going to comment on any SQ improvements because I'm hardly a believer and I've only given it a brief listen, but I can definitely say that microphonics is worse than stock cable. Kinda regretting the purchase since I recently realized that stock cable makes...- zeitfliesst

Ah didn't think about that. Well I guess I'm gonna need that stupid clamp after all. The cheapest I can currently find it is for ~10GBP incl. shipping+tax on http://customcans.co.uk/s/s/index.php/clamp-set-for-sennheiser-hd-25.html- zeitfliesst

Sennheiser Amperior Impressions Thread
Second day of using the Amperior. Awesome for metal, although comfort is not that amazing (expected for on-ear I guess) and a bit more sub-bass would have been appreciated. I really couldn't see myself living with the flimsy stock cables so I ordered an Oyaide HPC-HD25 cable. I'm not sure on...- zeitfliesst

Westone ES5
I've ordered a third-party cable called Cadence from eBay, and although there's not much information about them, they seem to be of good quality. My clear ES cable started to change in color (I ordered black but got clear instead T_T) and the cable noise got kinda annoying unless the slider was...- zeitfliesst

Best headphones for portable use? No amps, no iems
Not sure if you know about the Bowers & Wilkins P7, but they're pretty hot as portable headphones. A bit on the high-end in terms of price at $400, but the build and sound quality are supposedly great. Edit: duh, your profile picture shows a P5. I guess you should know about them already.- zeitfliesst

Bowers & Wilkins P7 - over the ear headphones
I've been following this thread for a while, but haven't seen this mentioned. Which genres are the P7s good at? From what I've read they seem to be a pretty good all-rounder. I listen to a lot of metal, so feedback from anyone who owns the P7 and has the same tastes as me would be great.- zeitfliesst
