Cowon Plenue P1
For all of you lucky P1 owners - would you mind providing me with a little help on M3U playlist support........ I've had Cowon products in the past and managed to get M3U playlists working but I've looked around I can't seem to find a definitive answer for the P1. Any help or advice would be...- simonsullivan1

Sony NWZ-A15 vs FiiO X1
Well bugger me - I knew the answer would have been somewhere in here - poor searching. As a similarly grumpy guy I agree with the updating comment - there are plenty of instances where updates coming out that state 'bug fixes' but seem to contain a raft of new ones! Needless to say...- simonsullivan1

Sony NWZ-A15 vs FiiO X1
I've been looking for 3 days to a solution to the missing album art quandary, and think I've found a solution. I have the NWZ-A15 walkman and use a 128GB Sandisk card. I have transferred by music onto the card via a card reader and also directly whilst the card is in the walkman...- simonsullivan1

SONY NW-ZX2
Hi, could anyone who has the ZX2 please help? I do most of my listening via folder navigation, but I also do like to use playlists now and again. Can anyone advise if the ZX2 supports M3U playlists files? If the answer is yes, could you please post an example of the path structure in...- simonsullivan1

My P1 is in the post!! However could someone help me with a couple questions - Although I have my music organised and often use folder navigation, I do use playlists a lot. Sorry to go back a few pages but could you provide a link to where you purchased this particular brand - I've looked in a few places but the cables are shorter and the housing bulkier - really trying to keep it slim enough to get between the DX50 and the Quickstep....- simonsullivan1

A powered USB cable to power both the DX50 and a USB HDD via OTG
Thanks for your input Oklahoma, I was actually recommended this cable http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380680038309?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 by chance on a different thread, I've not received it yet but will give an update when I do..... -
So, I'm looking for that perfect amp...
Yeah, they should, wish I'd come across the 300mah one (more time exactly). With regards to the lower voltage of some other batteries, it is only my assumption that it may have a negative affect - it was more a case of well if they do 9.6v then might as well go for that. I have two batteries...- simonsullivan1

A powered USB cable to power both the DX50 and a USB HDD via OTG
Probably not the type of cable question you're used to..... ......but I'm trying to find out if there is such a thing as; a standard Type A USB connection on one end and a micro B USB on the other (for use with a portable HDD), but the cable needs to have another standard Type A USB that is...- simonsullivan1

Hey Mingus, you may have checked already but have you deleted all the extended tags that are sometimes present. MP3Tag doesn't show them in the default view but if you highlight all your files and hit 'ALT+T' then it will bring up an additional box, any extended tags will show up here. I had...- simonsullivan1

lol - It already sounds like a foreign language but I'm always up for learning a new skill. I will look into it in the new year (well probably April - once Christmas is over, it's busy season at work so I Literally won't see the light of day for a number of months). That Vorz does look good, its about 3 Christmas' worth though - expensive. Your right though, for a portable rig the BH is Large SQ in (relatively) small form factor :-)- simonsullivan1

This might do the job - I have a BH ampt with my DX50 and the fiio bands hold it quite tightly but still with some flex left in the band. The C5 is bigger than the BH amp but for £2 (well £4 eventually as you'll need two) I think it's worth a shot. ...- simonsullivan1

Hey Musicheaven, that's what I thought initially but removing the card and reinserting to provoke the Browse or Scan dialogue and selecting scan didn't work. Then a factory reset didn't work (both through the UI and then volume up power method). So finally tried to re-install the firmware and...- simonsullivan1

I had the same issue, not sure why it occurred but to fix it I went through the process of reinstalling the firmware and deleting the update file once it had finished. I then did a factory reset before inserting the mSD card, excessive but it worked.- simonsullivan1

Having owned a Z2, C2 X7 and X9, the DX50 is definitely a step up. Just know that you won't have the flexibility that the Z2 allows in terms of EQ. The DX50 does have a functioning EQ but you cannot manipulate the sound like you can with the Cowon products (if you don't use those functions on...- simonsullivan1

Interesting, I can confirm that I have the later option you mention to hit the 'x' and stop the scan, but if I want to use Artist, Album navigation rather than directory, then I have to let the first scan build the database otherwise there is no info under the database, and I'd only be...- simonsullivan1
