Denon AH-C751 need repair but where in UK?
It would appear that the wire within the right ear piece of my daughter's Denon 751 headphones has comes loose. If it is wiggled about it starts to work. Does anyone know where I can get it fixed in the UK and approximate cost? Thanks- bobbyk

Where is the Earmax?
Not posted in a loooooooong time, but just to let you all know..... I still have my Earmax Anniversay Edition, Grado RS1's and Naim CD2 . The little amp remains a gem and has proven to be supremely reliable and engaging.- bobbyk

Solid state amp for HD650
Didn't sit and read all the posts as there was so many. I'm sorry if I am duplicating anything that has already been said. I note you live in the UK. Have you tried the Graham Slee amp with optional external power supply? Sennheiser were using this amp last year as a reference amp to...- bobbyk

EarMax and HD650
As I recollect the original earmax (Flinstone Model) was designed specifically with the HD580's in mind so the updated basic model should drive the 650's quite nicely. I'd still look to go for at least the pro if you can afford it though.- bobbyk

Earmax Pro over MF and Lehmann
Marco2 You won't regret getting the silver edition. It has a larger power supply like the anniversary edition. This helps prevent clipping and gives a greater degree of control and authority. As you can see from my signature I use the anniversary with RS1's and find the combination a very...- bobbyk

What is the sexiest headphone amp?
Aside from the obvious beauty of the Orpheous, which headphone amp is considered the most sexy. It must be able to produce a orgasmical sonic performance as well to qualify. Pics would be good- bobbyk

Earmax Pro or Silver ?
My set up is as below. I would suggest you connect your source direct to the Earmax (Get the silver if you can afford it. It's worth the extra cash) The route to hifi heaven is by keeping the signal paths short as this reduces degradation. Result more detail and better focus- bobbyk

FAST, quiet tube amp?
The earmax amp Dr Juggles refers to was quite slow in its presentation of music. I should know, he bought it from me. The amp he purchased was the original flinstone model. Some development has taken place since those original models came to the market and models such as the silver and...- bobbyk

Earmax Pro vs. Earmax Silver Edition
I think it's worth considering the type of music you prefer to listen to. A sluggish amp with limited dynamics is never going to cut the mustard with certain genres and vice versa.- bobbyk

Which tube amp for grados?
If you live in the USA and not 'OLD BLIGHTY', the UK. Then you will have plenty of choice. Unfortunately I'm stuck here in Blighty with all our ancient monuments, buildings and the royal family, but very few headphone amps! I'm using the Earmax A.E. with my RS1's and I am quite happy with...- bobbyk

Poll: How empy is your wallet?
My set up including the interconnect has set me back £3605-00 sterling. I think that equates to about $6100-00 U.S. Not a lot when you compare it to the cost of an Orpheous!- bobbyk

What's a good EQ to buy?
Why do you want an EQ? (Sorry, I'm not trying to sound inpolite) If you have a good set up it will produce the music true to its original recording. Isn't that our objective, to replicate the original as best we can? As far as I can see using an EQ is more likely to take us away from that...- bobbyk

Earmax vs. Earmax Pro
As I recall the original standard earmax was designed to work with the HD580's. This would suggest it should also work well with the HD600's. If you can get it cheap enough and it doesn't work for you, just sell it on for what you paid. Shouldn't be too difficult.- bobbyk
