It is kind of hard to differentiate shared components in my speaker and headphone setups. I will soon hear the Orpheus, and then I can decide how much further I want to upgrade.

I'm at 1700 right now but the Bottlehead amp I'm going to buy this summer is going to push me into the next category.

My signature will cost me $12,617.21 USD. My financial strategy always preserves fifty percent of my total assets including a minimum of six months for cash reserves for emergencies.

What I've bought and sold since joining Head-Fi? Hmmm....I'd say around 15K give or take. When do I wished I'd stopped? Honestly, I don't wish that at all. I enjoy the journey almost as much as the music.

My favorite upgrade? Probably the PS-1's so far. I know they're bass heavy but darn, I like 'em a lot!

About $800 CAD, with rounds out to around $700 USD. Sold off around $150 of the gear that I used to have. I'm going to spend more, if the Canadian dollar continues to get stronger and stronger to parity with the US dollar.

I used to keep track but I have no real idea now. I figure at least $2000 and up.

Took my advice, Bill? It's hard to tell with me, with all the upgrades/sidegrades/trades,etc. but I'm guessing since I joined almost a year ago somewhere in the low $3000 range. I'm not bankrupt or anything, but 2 major credit cards are maxxed, working on a third. Worth it? Priceless...

Good poll!

Interesting how the top of the curve is in the $500-$1000 range.

The average phone fan seems passionate about the hobby, but yet reasonable about it at the same time!

That's cool!!

My set up including the interconnect has set me back £3605-00 sterling.

I think that equates to about $6100-00 U.S.

Not a lot when you compare it to the cost of an Orpheous!
