iPod nano released
If only apple could forget about showy design for a bit and put flac, vorbis, and gapless on there, they would truly have the best dap out there.- mech_e

Simple question - do the Shure E2/E3C's have a shirt clip?
I have the e3s, and a little problem with microphonics while walking, but its not major. I run the cord down my back and really don't hear much unless I'm walking. Even then, my footsteps are that loud. Maybe I'm just catlike, tho- mech_e

Should I wait for Chroma?
I don't use FLAC on my karma. I'd rather have all my music (100+gb in FLAC vs 16gb q5 vorbis) than perfect copies when I'm walking around campus. I've heard Vorbis has worse batt life than FLAC, but don't have anything to back it up. I usually use it for around 5-6hours/day, and then charge it...- mech_e

Should I wait for Chroma?
Rio has not officially announced the Chroma os nothing is known. Although, it is speculated to be out this year (*ONLY* speculation by some). Go to riovolution forums, as they have a sticky in the Karma General forum on this. As far as 40gb vs 20gb, I took my archive of just over 100gb of...- mech_e

Oh god Cnet....
I have about as much use for Cnet as I do for radioactive toilet paper. I have even less use for the tards that post their own 'reviews' there. Nothing but rabid, 13yo, fanboys who know nothing about anything.- mech_e

"My Bose are better than your Beyers." how do I respond to this?!
After working at CC and having my Dad and all his brothers and their offspring develop into full fledged Bose-heads, I've learned the only thing you can say is, "Good for you", and return to listening to your superior setup.- mech_e

What in the world........Chroma on sale? This can't be right.......
To echo what Morphling has been trying to get across.... I can't find the actual post at Riovolution, but a subscriber ( and I don't remember who, hows that for reliability!) said (and this is the true part) that based on reports out of Rio's shareholders meeting, no new products will be...- mech_e

If I remember correctly, the site that had correct Forge/Carbon info first was Rio's site, rioaudio.com. Until its up there, I'll remain a skeptic and enjoy my Karma.- mech_e

Should I Go For The Karma?
Rockcity- Do it. The people who say the karma has issues (it *used* to) are just jealous that they're stuck with inferior players or they need the feature set of the iriver.- mech_e

Help with "my" e3c's
I tried all the tips (except the foamies; I got mine used), and I could achieve a lasting seal with any of the soft sleeves, period. I had virtually the same experience as you. I didn't care for the regular sleeves, but I sucked it up with the mediums. Now, the regulars don't bother me anymore...- mech_e
