I am very tempted to pick up the CKM99 (since they are still going $170+ at most sites), as well as the V-Moda. I can always return V-Moda to Amazon so that's another safety net....

Guys I guarantee there is only like 10-14 of these left on Beach Camera stock. These are 100% legit as they are being blown out from beach camera. I jumped on one but I am willing to bet these will go back up to $171 cheapest in a day or 2. These are gonna sell out quick.  Audio Technica former flag ship earphones. $200 earphones for $100? Good deal me thinks.

What genres are these best suited for? Looking for headphones for rap/hip hop. Pretty much anything being played off a samsung galaxy nexus. New to headphones, always used crappy stuff. So anything is an upgrade. $99 seems like a steal. These go for much more everywhere else.
