I must admit, 2 years ago I was not in head-fi, I am relatively new in here

^ Only Fiio can answer that question. He has not provided a solid price quote in any currency (rumor has it that the design has not been completely finalized). The price of X5 was said to be roughly twice of that of X3. So when X3 hits Europe, you may get an idea.

In order to discipline myself to wait for X5 instead of buying the X3 immediately, I keep telling myself that X3 will be just like an E17 DAP as X3 has the same DAC/Amp. Don't get me wrong E17 does real sound good to me, my point is, I already know how it sounds and I really just have to wait for something that is better. It would surely be nice to have a DAP that's better than my current highest-end non-DAP source (E17).

Really hope the battery life is good!

Having WiFi and Android on a DAP is a Major help. I've always wanted to see a DAP that has those components, mainly for Amazon MP3, Spotify, Pandora and other music players, so transferring music won't be a hassle at all.

The DX100 did a horrible job at it. Terrible UI Response + Awful Battery life is a no go for me. I want something revolutionary and that's why I asked AK for a certain request that I know they can fulfill.

Guys, Fiio indicated that X5 might not have Android and wifi. If you want those, you can use Fiio E18 DAC/amp along with S3 or Note 2.

Android is fantastic if you're building a multi-purpose device. The X5 is hopefully a dedicated music player and not anything else. If you're looking for more a tablet is probably the better choice.
