My fiio X5 no longer starts up, I think because the battery is so dead it does not take any charge. When I plug it.in it charge it, I'll get the welcome screen but then the menu dies not dhis, but instead the battery charging icon. Once I unplug it, all power is gone.
I use my Astell Kern alpha now. I would like to have this as a back up but I think if I could sell this to a refurbisher (or someone who wants to replace battery) that might be better. Does anyone have helpful suggestions?

Why not just replace the battery since you want it as a backup. It looks to be plug and play and batteries are cheap. Found a link here too: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/fiio-x5-battery-replacement.966231/
