Sure, but I cannot even find it on the Fiio shop on taobao...

They target to send to distro in China around that time...it has been delayed and they told distro not to take preorder...hence not listed
Hopefully we could see it in the shop and website early next week

If 5 sets are sold in the CES , there'd be English language option in the firmware , brilliant

Correct me if I'm wrong , did FiiO mention there'll only be Chinese language in the firmware when they're releasing it in China ?

You could buy the X5 at CES USA? Wow, that is like, quite an early ability to buy the X5. Considering the X5 is officially launching in USA in March....

It would have been to retailers/distributors and they visit form all over the globe. CES is very international. Of course those units may have had an early adoption of English in them as well since I expect the NA tour unit will.

I would've gone to CES or had someone at CES buy me one if I had known about that.

sure X5 will supports gapless playback and we are working in the DSD playback and OTG support too. and X5 will includes all the features in X3 excepted the individual bass/treble is replaced by a 10 bands EQ.

Hopefully better gapless playback than the X3 does at the moment, X3 with gapless on is very unstable (hangs, become slow to respond), hopefully this will be fixed. A bit of tough love.

I'm in love with my X3, but I can't use the gapless playback because the unit stops playing between tracks much too often. I sure hope this gets fixed on the X5. A firmware update for the X3 that address this issue would be nice too.

Here is the reason why USB OTG is useful on a portable DAP:  you may be able to add 256GB-1TB of USB flash storage now.

Kingston DataTraveler HyperX 3.0 USB flash drive offers up to 1TB of USB flash storage:

1TB USB flash drive is available now for $1260:

I said "you may be able to ...." as I haven't tried them myself. Kingston's web pages indicate that those USB flash drives are exFAT-formatted, backward compatible with USB 2.0 and will work for Windows, Mac and Linux. Assuming that no special driver is needed (as Kingston does not indicate such), I am speculating that those drives may be reformatted as FAT32 and work with any portable DAP with USB OTG function.
