can confirm Estrella is very airy. One of the best treble extension on entry midfi class. Approved!
I just don't like the bass quality as I mentioned before but mids and trebles (and extension) are solid. Better than Hype2 and Hype4 (hype4 sounded disjointed because of dip on 10-13khz then strong boost on 15khz made them have light sizzle on top end)
@mrsergey you can consider this also (still If you want to do some works on your Shock, i prefer the Shock any day)
Edit:
Another option will be Tri I3 mk3. Treble extensions are chef's kiss. Approved.
Alright, good good, I like seeing the differences in opinions here on the Estrella, I’m going to be honest with you guys, I really want to be as careful as possible bringing that IEM up considering the situations it’s gotten me in up to this point… I swear that IEM has single handedly caused more than a handful of arguments at this point and I just don’t wanna deal with it anymoreTo my ear, the Estrella has too much upper mids and lower treble energy for it to sound very airy. Ends up masking its upper treble region IMO. Its strengths are its dynamicism and vibrancy.

But I see both of your points here, 100% I too wish the bass quality was better and I also wish the upper mids were lower to allow the rest of fr to breath a little, those are literally my two complaints in my review so I think you guys hit that nail right on the head

HA!Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the purple people pine cone eaters, was considering buying as well based on that deal but I somehow have quite a few sets coming my way to demo over the holiday thanks to some awesome folks in this thread. And I still have 2 reviews to finish… need to get to work!
That sounds like something Theo Von would say

I always noticed the same thing my self, the different between wired and BT on the BTR7 is pretty drastic, almost like a completely different device in some cases. The step down from wired BTR7 to BT is pretty significant, I wonder if it's less noticeable on the BTR17.
Nichttheless, das ist gut poop.

What I have found over the years of owning be BTR7 is that I actually prefer it when using BT funny enough. I feel like a wired connection with it makes the sound too lean and bass light… I haven’t tried it in a long while but that was the conclusion I came to like 2 years ago. Maybe I need to revisit that.
For 2025 I would wish to see (non brand specific - but hey):What are your brand-specific wishes for 2025, boys?
- more AKM or ROHM ICs in dongle DACs
- compact tube dongle DACs (maybe the iBasso Nunchaku will make the start)
- more DACs with exotic architecture DSD, R2R, etc
- more IEM brands that understand that trust is important in terms of QC (channel balance)

ROHM ICs in dongle DACs
Seems like Rohm N8ii and DCE, these silicons are now collector and won't be seen anytime soon.

I've been reading a lot about this M5 ultra. Can I use it with my samsung phone like a dongle? Are there any drawbacks? I'm not interested in bluetooth function.% Recommend Muse M5 Ultra. Not sure if this code still works. For $10 off
Try HifiGo Code : HIFIGOYM10
Thanks.. I’m really enjoying the M5 Ultra.
Last night I spent 2 hours with the SR9. I can’t believe how good it sounds. These IEM’s sing with tubes. @Ineras you should try them when you get your M5U
Also the batterycharged to full from 50% in the time I was listening
with the SR9.

For some reason the 15$ off is now telling me my order doesn’t meet minimum requirements. (It does!)Some more Ali Codes and also put the original codes I shared. YMMV
Kate9/EPRT9/RHH9 $9 off $30
Kate15/EPRT15/RHH15 $15 off $60
Kate25/EPRT25/RHH25 $25 off $100
Kate60/EPRT60/RHH60 $60 off $200

I have been testing the KZ AS24 Pro and AST and comparing them. The 24 Pro is great, very clean and detailed, excellent BA bass on 1100 setting. However, I am beginning to prefer the AST with its better timbre and smoother delivery. This is via Hidizs AP80 Pro X/Fiio KA11. AST has Spiral Dots and 24 Pro large Starlines, cable is a TRN 16-core SPC.

“This graph is totally wrong and not the way the IEM sounds at all.”

Spirit of experimentation

A 9x8 "planar" ear speaker and a Knowles 62462 (not connected)

Edit: No bass, yet, perhaps due to the 2 front vent holes I gave it. (vent filters to be applied on the outside

Today I begin the real burn-in, after 12 hours of pink noise and the @DynamicEars and @Ineras mod done on the silver nozzles, the Klean is something out of this world, the bass i missed is back and the overall tuning is insane good!.
I'm glad these doesn't need a huge power to drive, with the internal dac/amp of my oldie but goldie xiaomi mi note 10 pro with ~30mw more than fine.
Yesterday another humble mail call with the 7hz x HBB Elua, and the first impressions is wow, is surprising what a 10 and a 8 mm DD offers, IMO is better than G1 at better price, a recommendation without doubt.

Nope only G rated family fun here? Actually I think it was an R rated movie in the US? In 1995 the OST reached into the top 10 on the British charts, go figure? The movie itself came out in 1971, it about as innocent as you can get? I guess the title is disturbing, as it is meant to be! Cheers!Yeah RW2000 rules! I have no idea why I used them without the foams for a while, though, that was barely listenable.
What a good-looking thing! If you say it sounds half as good as it looks I'm buying it.
Tangzu know a thing or two about design. Those Wu Zetian always looked class as well.
I want these. If nothing else just to display them. A cool room ornament for sure.
Ah see, you need a different angle.
No? Here?
Vampyros Lesbos. Can I find it over on those 18+ webpages too?
