If you compare it to the quartet, will the quartet crush the z 300? I guess I actually ordered the z 300 because of the cable replacement you mentioned. $45 cable + $34 z 300.

Quartet has better technicalities. Better all-around in frequency response. More details. But it's a lot more expensive and also needs a cable upgrade to sound its best.

I like both IEMs for what they are. Fun, bassy, good tuning, nice tonality, relatively cheap and affordable.

PR2's mids are hollow and overall sound is very thin compared to Z300. Some people like that kind of sound, I don't. PR2's cable is cheap af and complete trash compared to Z300's cable. In my opinion, Z300 is a better purchase.

Thanks, the iems looks so good that I wanted to try it even though I said I wouldn't buy anything for less than $100. By the way, does it select a source z 300?

I haven't read it anywhere and frankly I can't give you a definite answer.

The grille is there like in the HOOK-X, and even more.

The isolation from the outside doesn't seem high to me, and therefore everything would suggest that they are open or semi-open IEMs,
but I'm not sure.

I'm not even sure where the people that have theirs have gotten them from. I've tried ordering from 2 different sellers now and neither of them have even wanted to ship the damn thing to me. First seller let the order sit on "processing" for like 2 weeks before cancelling the shipment, and the second seller hasn't marked the item as shipped since I ordered it a week ago, despite touting "fast shipping 48 hours".

Is the supply of the PR2 really this messed up??

I don't know, but prices can vary more than 50% from seller to seller. kz told me there is no stock, it's interesting that there are other sellers when they can't even send products to customers themselves. There are already too many people having problems even with quality control.

But I agree with this user as PR2 sounds like it lacks note weight which is ok for some genres like classical or live music but it's not going to be good for rock or metal for instance

D10 - V shaped with loads of bass
H30 - W shaped with good balance, but on the slightly brighter side
H40 - L-shaped/toward V with boosted bass and clear treble
EST50 - L shaped and in a way improved H40 with better coherency

Have not tested H50 myself, measurement always seemed weird so never understood how it would sound.

Another 4+1! Purple color! That's gonna be the new trend...purple!
