I think you can add the L&P W2 Ultra to the hipe. So much power in a little dongle!

Very nice! I have to try this one after reading all the praise. I wonder how it stacks up against the Kensei, which is the most impressive dongle I've heard to date.

Awesome! Congrats brother! Definitely need to hear some impressions soon. I know you've been eager to get these in your ears.

Ya my F1 Pro is not long for my collection either. I need to do a proper review when I have more time but it's likely to be the next giveaway prize 😅

With CanJam SoCal 2 weeks away, I'm starting to think about what I'm going to prioritize on my demo list. Thanks to friends like @Jaytiss I already got to demo and review the Elysian Pilgrim (insert shameless plug here) so I can check that one off my list. I still want to try the Noir to see how it compares. I'm also interested Symphonium, Aroma, AFUL's Cantor and new 5+2, Unique Melody, Canpur, Softears, the DC Elite now, and I'm sure there are many more I left out that I'll find while walking the floor.

For those attending, and even for those that have never been to a CanJam (like myself), what is the top 3 pieces of equipment (iem, headphone, DAP, amp, etc.) that you would like to demo someday?

Impressions will be gathered later today! DHL Express is not a game. I thought it was coming in on this upcoming Monday but shipping notification was updated on Wednesday and already delivered.

Re: CanJam - There's so much. I went up and down the exhibitor list and there's going to be so much. You'll want to narrow it down but also try not to fatigue yourself by knocking out your entire list. It's possible to definitely check off everything (basically checked off every headphone available there) but gotta balance.

Looking at my list it's hard but for strictly just IEMs:

Fatfreq Grand Maestro (anniversary or otherwise)
Subtonic Storm
PMG Apx SE

But that's not even including the Aroma, Noble, Nostalgia, Nightjar (Duality), Empire Ears (Novus and Triton especially), etc.

Frankly speaking, I don't see the way to use it. DAP at home, BTR7 on the way... Also, counting it's price, new IEMs would bring more motivation to listen to music. Also such loud hype still hasn't resulted in ABX-ing to be sure it isn't just new expansive toy.

But if I have an R4 do I need this? that will be quite a setup if I have to pair that huge dongle with the R4 lol. I'd be getting the R4 FOR the sound and better codecs as well as the convenience of having an Android DAP separate from my iPhone.

This may well be the main argument against the DC Elite. I haven’t heard the R4 nor will I likely get a chance to any time soon, but sound quality wise the DCE walks comfortably over something like the R6 Pro II.

And yes it is a huge dongle, which was why I was researching MagSafe solutions for attaching it to my iPhone not long ago.

I was also interested in the Estrella for the looks and clear sound + bass, but the Shocks are more practical because of the dials?

Haven’t heard the Estrella (though am reading impressions keenly) but yeah the Shock has way more versatile tuning options as well as solid technicals to back it up.

The main arguments against Shock at this point are if you like your mids to be forward and up front, or if you absolutely cannot have sound leaking from your IEMs.

Thanks ! I found it, but it is 189USD for me ... I think I wait for 11.11 with this cable (mean: I have to think if I want it next to Penon ASOS and Pyramid).

That’s the one but oof, dynamic pricing is nasty. I haven’t heard Pyramid, but the XINHS one is quite different from the Asos so it really comes down to what you plan to pair the cable with and what sort of improvements you’re looking to get from it. And then if you choose the Asos, there’s the small matter of deciding if you might want the Asos+ or Asos+X instead. With many Penon releases it pays to lock in the early bird discount but with the Asos I kind of wish I’d waited for the souped up versions.

I see that more and more discoverers have been using multi-quote replies. How's feature that working out for everyone? For some reason, I can't quite vibe with it myself. Too disjointed, I imagine, for my feeble brain chemistry to process.

Andy is not on the DC Elite Hype train.

It's old video, and Andy seems prefer warm source.
Weirdly, He rated Onix better than Elite and recent ibasso own DC07 he likes it more and in the end he confused and seems stressed out trying all those dongles and scrap all the ranking.

Well the DC Elite is last year product, it isn't a hype train. It has been tested against time and competitors. Must be something about Andy's product, or well we just hear differently. It's Andy vs at least 20 or 30 experieced audiophiles then, go figure
